Abu Dhabi: Billawara Balaga to celebrate 19th anniversary on May 3

Abu Dhabi, Mar 26: Billawara Balaga Abu Dhabi, one of the oldest Billawa organizations in the Gulf region, will be celebrating its 19th anniversary with a variety of dances, skits, games, and Yakshagana at Al Dhafra Hareb Hall, (near Fish Market) Mina Abu Dhabi on May 3, 2013 at 10 am.

Billawara Balaga Abu Dhabi formed in 1994, with the goal of integrating and caring/sharing, has inspired birth of many Billawa associations in the Gulf region. Balaga has honoured dignitaries and artistes who were invited from India on the occasion of anniversary programs. Several popular Tulu plays were successfully staged in Abu Dhabi and Dubai as part of anniversary programs with local artistes from community. Picnics were conducted and festivals were celebrated regularly with community members. Financial help has also been rendered to needy community members and Billawa organizations back home.

For the past few years, Billawara Balaga has been actively distributing scholarship to the needy and poor Billawa children in and around Mangalore.

Manohar Tonse, convenor and committee members of Billawara Balaga Abu Dhabi request Billawas to attend the 19th anniversary family get-together program in large numbers.
