Shimoga: Love failure - Boy stabs girl to death, attempts suicide

Shimoga, Mar 28: In an incident that shocked the town of Teerthahalli here on Thursday March 28, a girl was stabbed to death by her lover after she refused him.

The boy too tried to end his life after stabbing her.

The incident took place near Kuvempu PU College in Theerthahalli.

The girl has been identified as Sona (20), a resident of Konandur and a student of Kuvempu College. The boy has been identified as Abhishek.

Abhishek had fallen in love with Sona but she refused him. In a fit of rage, he stabbed her 9 times all over her body. She was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

Soon after the incident, a shocked Abhishek attempted suicide. He was rushed to JC hospital and later shifted to KMC hospital.
