Mangalore: Nagaraj Shetty returns to BJP

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore

Mangalore, Mar 29: Nagaraj Shetty, who had quit BJP and joined JD(S), is back in his former party.

Shetty resigned from JD(S) at the end of last week following a tussle between the party leaders over the suspension of two of their local leaders and other issues.

After quitting from JD(S) he had expressed his desire to go back to BJP.

At the same time, speaking to media persons, he said that he was returning to his 'parent' party due to pressure from some quarters.

Accordingly, on Friday March 29, he will be joining the party officially during the BJP convention to be held at Nehru Maidan at 4 pm.

Shetty, a product of the Sangh parivar, had worked as the president of Campco, in which capacity his leadership qualities shone brightly. In 2004, he succeeded in breaking the monopoly of the Congress over Bantwal constituency, and got elected as MLA by defeating former minister, B Ramanath Rai. He became minister in the JDS-BJP coalition government in the state in 2006. In 2008, he was defeated in the election. He quit BJP in June 2011 stating that he was fed up with groupism and internal rivalry in the party, and joined JD(S) later in September, stating that he wanted to see Kumaraswamy become the CM.

Few months back when Haladi resigned from BJP you said that you have resigned from BJP to show solidarity with Honest Haladi. So, now Haladi has moved away still farther from BJP. Then, if you really have regards for Honest Haladi, why you have gone exactly in opposite direction. What happened to your respect for Haladi ?

Nagaraja you showed your colour like naga.Your face gives that message of changing colour. How anyone can trust you as a leader. Leaders should be trustworthy otherwise no one beleive in what you say. Nothing new people like you but not good for citizens to have a leader like you around.

The politicians who keep changing parties should be called as "Ghirgoot" or Bumble Bee. This bee does not sit one place. The voters should sit back and think when we cast our vote in May "Whether we require Bumble bees in our Assembly ". In this country we have observed that the most law breakers are the law makers. A politicians will always say till he has destroyed this country completely that "He is always right". The day he says he was wrong that time we have lost everything in this country. Don't vote for a political party but vote for a Good Political Leader.

Mr Nagaraj Shetty showed what is his strength and weakness taking childish step to desert his mother party and again returning to it.As I said when election takes place we don't know who represent which parties.THERE IS NO SAIDANTHINKA PRINCIPLES LEFT WITH NAGARAJA SHETY WHICH MAY JEOPARADISE his political career.BJP is in very poor state in Twin districts and it needs boost very badly.(I think he was shifted to JDS for a deputation!!)

There should be a ban of atleast 2 years, on those people who jump from one party to another like monkeys. This shows that political idealogy is all fake, every politician is only for making money and power and at the same time only barking some idealogy based on what is the current flavor of the month for that party.
