Udupi/Kundapur: Sea of devotees partake in Easter Vigil

Udupi/Kundapur, Mar 30: Devotees flocked in great numbers to their respective parishes to attend the Easter Vigil Mass, which marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Mass was celebrated by Udupi bishop Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo at Milagres Cathedral.

At St Philiph Neri Church, Basrur in Kundapur, the faithful gathered in great joy and celebration.

Fr Vishal Lobo, parish priest of the church, celebrated the solemn Mass.

    1 Corinthians 15:54-55)

    In resurrecting Jesus from the grave, God reminds us of His absolute sovereignty over life
    and death.

    Those who believe in Christ will not remain dead, but will be resurrected unto eternal life.

    Know that our labor in the Lord
    is not in vain” (1 Corinthians
    15: 58)
    He reminds us that because we
    know we will be resurrected to
    new life, we can suffer persecution and danger for Christ’s sake.
    (vv. 29-31), just as He did.

    The Catholic Bishop Fulton Sheen had a T.V. programme watched by all Christians and non-Christians
    "Life is worth living". When the risen JESUS is our Lord and Saviour, even without anything in the pocket-totally broken, life is worth and a happy living. Happy Easter to you all.
