Modi inducted into BJP's parliamentary board

New Delhi, Mar 31 (IANS): Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi was Sunday re-inducted into the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) parliamentary board -- the highest decision making body -- that will lead the party in the next general elections, a BJP spokesperson said.

BJP president Rajnath Singh announced his new team Sunday.

"Narendra Modiji is one of the popular leaders of the country, and that is why he is in the parliamentary board," BJP leader Prakash Javadekar told reporters, adding: "New and experienced faces are included in the team, as our aim is to win the 2014 elections and relieve the country of bad governance by the Congress."

Modi's return to the parliamentary board after a gap of six years ensures that he will play a key role in the decision making within the party for the next general elections.

"After discussion with senior party leaders, this team has been announced. I think it is a perfect and balanced team," BJP vice president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told reporters.

He said the new team would help the BJP win the next Lok Sabha polls.

Modi is the only chief minister to be on the parliamentary board. He also finds a place in the party's central election committee.

Modi's trusted aide and Gujarat's former home minister Amit Shah, former central ministers Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Ananth Kumar, and young parliamentarian Varun Gandhi have been made general secretaries of the party.

Shah had to quit as minister after being accused of being behind the killing of Sohrabuddin Sheikh in a staged shootout in 2005.

Two cases were registered against Varun Gandhi for delivering "hate speeches" during his 2009 election campaign. He was exonerated of the charge early this month.

On tainted people like Shah being inducted into key positions, BJP leader Prakash Javadekar said: "People don't come to the BJP from one family; they are inducted on merit. Unless a court verdict comes or the Supreme Court says something, we cannot prohibit him from occupying a position in the party."

Smriti Irani and Uma Bharti have been elevated as vice-presidents of the party, while senior BJP leader Yashwant Singh has found no place in the new team.

"The rejig was done by the new party president keeping in mind the general elections of 2014. The party will announce the prime ministerial candidate when the time comes," BJP spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi said.

On stopping short of announcing a prime ministerial candidate, BJP leader Nirmala Sitaraman said: "All groups and regions have been well represented in the new team. I don't think too much need to be read into (the holding back of an announcement of the prime minister candidate)."

"There is young blood too in the team," she said.

Welcoming Modi's elevation, BJP leader Giriraj Singh said: "It is good news and will infuse more power and strength into the party."

Mr. Modi will become PM 100%, that is for sure. But those people who doesn't like his development work & continue to remain in dark, spit venom against him which is of no use. It's better they keep quiet & save their own energy. Modi is a strong man in whole of India, there is no match for Modi not only in India but all over the world which is proved by recent visit by UK, US & European delegates to Gujarat which gave sleepless nights to Congress. Definitely Modi will become PM & there will be no more UPA & NDA, there will be one & only patriotic party in India & that is BJP & all Indians will be the happiest & wealthiest in the World.

Whom BJP makes PM candidate is BJP's internal issue. People will reject BJP if they are not happy.
Being faithful to "secular" allies has not benefitted BJP. Biju Patnaik ditched them and Nitish is about to do that.
Congress will project Rahul as PM and then appoint a rubber stamp PM. Rahul will go in to periodic hibernation for next 25 years!

THIS IS THE FIRST STEP TOWARDS BJP'S DEFEAT IN THE UPCOMING LOKSABHA ELECTIONS.

IN A COMMUNALLY SENSITIVE INDIA, MODI IS THE BEST EXAMPLE TO DEVIDE INDIA VERTICALLY AND SPLIT VOTES.

NDA ALLIES WILL THINK NOT TWICE, BUT MANY MORE TIME IF THEY WILL CONTINUE WITH THEM OR NOT.

AMITH SHAHA WHO IS A CRIMINAL HIMSELF HAS BEEN RAISED TO THE HIGHER POST IS AN INDICATION OF REINFORCING BJP AGENDA FOR COMMUNAL TARGETS.

WHAT HAS HAPPENED IN GUJARATH DURING GODRA RIOTS CANNOT BE EASILY FORGOTTEN BY INDIANS AND PEOPLE WHO WERE PERSECUTED.

NITISH KUMARJI AND OTHERS WILL GO FOR A THIRD FRONT AND THAT WILL DEVIDE VOTES FURTHER.

WELL, THIS IS A PREPARATION FOR ALREADY LOST BATTLE OF BJP..

IT HAS LOST A GRAET DEAL IN KARNATAKA..

WHY GUJARATH IS THE ONLY MODEL FOR INDIA? IS INDUSTRY ONLY WAY TO GUAGE PROGRESS? NO ONE IN GUJARATH INVOLVED IN CORRUPTION?

IF BJP SHINES IN GUJARATH WHY DID'NT IT SHINE IN KARNATAKA?

CAN BJP SHINING IN GUJARATH REFLECT IN ENTIRE INDIA?

VARUN GANDHI WHO WANTED TO CUT HANDS OF PEOPLE A SPEAKER WITH HATE HAS BEEN RAISED TO HIGHEST RANKS...

UMA BHARATHI WHO WAS CAST OUT SO FAR HAS BEEN AGAIN INDUCTED INTO PARTY TOP BRASS...

ALL THESE ARE JUST INDICATIONS OF A SULKING BJP...

WILL BJP MAKE A COME BACK?
NO, NO, NO... JUST WAIT AND SEE ALL THESE PEOPLE ARE JUST BUILDING CASTELS IN THE AIR. IT WILL BE JUST A REPEAT OF INDIA SHINING IN THE PAST TWO ELECTIONS..

    JAI HOO... BHARATH MATAKI JAI....

Modi became big even beyond party and mother org RSS! When BSY tried to dictate terms party, he was shown door. Fine corruptions are reason behind the move but frankly speaking, he(BSY)grown beyond party and High Command failed to control him(There are dozens of lawmakers and ministers who were involved in corruptions/DA/Land grabbing but Party even failed issue Show cause notice to them.(BSY was only made to pay for political reasons!!!)

Yesterday Advani reiterated that there is no competition for the coveted post(PM)but never hinted that he would not be the candidate!!!!

Now anti- Modi elements with in and allies will join together to have a powerful two blocks which may befit Congress or third front ultimately.

Mr. Modi's elevation to (BJP) parliamentary board that will lead the party in the general elections of 2014 is very crucial!

If NDA comes to power and Mr. Modi becomes the P.M. ?

Either it will be for good and all round progress of the nation or for worst disaster of the Country.

Higher the rise, greater is the vision, or higher the rise greater the fall!
    Simply nothing beyond that.

India's mind boggling diversity & myriad competing identities it needs a leader who takes every one along and apart from that, protects and unites them.Modi, has divided his own party and allies it leads!!!Yet,his supporters are outraged every time references to his past inevitably crop up Thanks to Teesta and Sanjeev Bhat who dared to challenge him that has kept the legacy of 2002 ALIVE.Therefore, the 2002 incidents will hounds life long and even may come as hurdle for his ambitious political career.
