Kasargod: Moral policing - Man assaulted by 7 in ice cream parlour, one held

Stephan Kayyar
Daijiworld Media Network - Kasargod (DV)

Kasargod, Apr 2: In a case of moral policing, a group barged into an ice cream parlour here on Monday April 1 and attacked a man who was having ice cream with two girls.

It is said that a team of seven vigilantes barged in and brutally attacked the man. He was immediately rushed to hospital with grave injuries.

Priyesh

Abdulla

The injured has been identified as Abdulla (34), a resident Zeenath Nagar, Bangod in Talangere. He is a sales manager in Mangalore and also the secretary of Bangod Defense Club.

City police have arrested Priyesh (20), a resident of Gange Road RD Nagar. Circle inspector Sunil Kumar C K said the police have already obtained information about four other persons involved in the attack.

The two girls are said to be students of central university.

It is said that the university and city corporation clubs had planned to organize a joint blood donation camp and the students had contacted Abdulla as a prelude to the camp. He suggested that they meet him near City General Hospital. After the meeting, Abdulla and two girls went to a nearby ice cream parlour. This is when the attack took place and police rushed to the spot immediately. Priyesh was caught with the help of the locals, but the others escaped. A hunt for the absconding persons is on.

Where exactly in the whole report it is mentioned that Sangha Pariwar people carried out thye attack? It could be a brother of one of the girls and that brother could be from CPM or Congress also.
Kerala is also famous for a sex abuse case curiously named as "ice cream parlour case" and the main accused happens to be a *** party leader!

In D.K. District, we have nearly a dozen senes, dalas & vedikes busy protecting the culture resulting in absence of local manpower/labourer to cater to the needs of the the twin district. Most of the labourers are from other parts of Karnataka and North India, but they don't know how to bring down the coconuts from the tree.

Some one should take pain to teach these North Karnataka or Bihari people to climb trees and pluck coconut. It is not such a difficult job nor it requires any special skill. what is required is only little patience to teach them. In north Karnataka there are lots of Ichala Trees (Toddy Trees)tall like coconut trees and there people know how to climb such trees. We have taught some north karnataka & Bihari labours to climb coco-nut trees and also areca-nut trees in Coorg dist and just like chain link now they are teaching other labours of north karnataka and Bihar. Why you people of DK-Udupi cannot do the same for just one batch of North Karnataka or Bihari Labours and then see how they will teach others among themselves. Never under-estimate North Karnataka People, They are more hardworking and intelligent than lazy Coastal people. Of course North Karnataka people are very bad at Moral Policing. No one in entire India can match Coastal people in Moral Policing. (Calling themselves as Buddivantaru and patting their own back).

Ssly, moral policing should be banned in Mangalore , and strict preventive measures and those culprits involved should be punished severly with rigrous imprisonment, those people have no right to involve in other people's life.. Even i have decided not to cast my vote to BJP anymore, we should analyze and then vote guys, not just vote like a fool of animanls , follow the trend.

Why there is moral policing only in Tulu Speaking Areas of Karnataka & Kerala ? Whether the Tuluvas of Ktk & Krl think that only Tuluvas are capable of Protecting the Hindu Sanskruti and no one Else in India can do so ?. Even in interior Karnataka there are hardly any such Cases of Moral Policing, even though the percentage of Minority is comparatively higher in some interior districts like Mysore, Bijapur, Belgaum, Dharwad, Gulbarga & Bidar. Have the Tuluvas settled in these interior districts have courage to do moral policing in those districts leaving aside their Hotel business ? Why the same Tulu speaking people in Mumbai (about 16 lakhs) are not daring to do the Moral Policing in Mumbai if they are genuinely interested in protecting Hindu Culture? Even Shiva Sena is now not doing any such moral policing, then why only in Tulu areas of Karnataka & Kerala. Is it true that Tulu nadu is called Laboratory of hidden Hindutva agendas ?

Mr.Gerald, We are free to do any discussion any part of the country, in any place. I dont think we need any permission for this in a place like coffe shop , ice cream parlour etc... So many times we use to go to hotel for parties, Office work discussions, Hosting a party in client etc. So you are saying that before booking a seat in hotel, we need to ask permission from these goondas, illiterate, uneducated rowdys. Surprising part here is Police is silent on this regard and politicians are playing this cheap gimmick by encouraging this goondas to do such similar acts.

When you are doubting a individual's principle you should study the person and besides it is better consistent reader of this forum. If you are regular reader of this forum, certainly, there is no scope for raising this as biased.I think you are supporter of Moral policing as your Comments shows but under any circumstances,I repeat under any circumstances ..I will not support or sympathize the action.Such people are anti democratic, anti national and uncivilized.

This Moral Policing in Kasargod seems to have been engineered by their Counterpart in Karnataka, so as to create communal Tension in Kasargod-Kerala and reap the benefit of the same indirectly in Karnataka during next election. Because creating communal tension directly in Karnataka may have adverse effect on their own election prospect since the whole nation will directly blame the Present Govt of Karnataka. If the Communal Tension is created in Kerala the blame will go to Kerala govt but the benefit will go to the concerned Party in Karnataka. So, this is an attempt to kill two birds with one stone!

But it is very surprising to see now-a-days meetings held in Ice Cream Parlor too!! Some even said Mangalore Moral Police spilled over in Kasargod area too. But I feel pity on them, since we face major problem from our neighboring State with so many intruders who always create problems for us.

I am damn sure, all would be caught and punished impartially. It is not Mangalore, two set of rules applied to two different communities.

With exception of minor communal tension occasionally by vested interests, all Keralites believe in one religion, that is Malayalees. Period.

The congress govt in Kerala has failed to give security to the young boy who wanted to discuss about how to donate blood with two young innocent girls in an ice cream parlour. We at Mangalore and in Kasargod call it as "BORDER" and not "BOARDER" as in Saudi. Its time you come down and feel the pulse of the land and then sit there and comment on each and everything . We need to know the other side of the story as well . If they are attacked as part of Moral policing then they need to be condemned. Still wonder what kind of joint blood donation was planned at an ice cream parlour.
