Mangalore: Stany Mendonca to present 6th Musical Nite on April 14

Mangalore, Apr 3: In an attempt to help underprivileged children in their education through Alfred Bennis and Hope Charitable Trust, Stany Mendonca, popularly known as ‘Stan’ will be organizing his sixth musical nite at St Agnes Special School grounds on Sunday April 14.

Mendonca will perform along with his other prominent singers like Zeena Pereira, Joseph Mathias, Reshma, Ashvija Mendonca, Sonal, Denzil Pereira, Rony Gonsalves, and Melric Monteiro.

Previous musical nites

Live singing by the troupe, dance by ‘Nach Sobhann’, and comedy by ‘Memory’ team will add charm to the evening. The music for the event will be arranged by Joswin Pinto, Bendur, and comprises of 15 songs.

On the occasion, Mendonca’s third album ‘Ashavadi’ comprising 12 songs will also be released.


About Stany Mendonca

Hailing from Angelore, Mendonca (47) started his singing carrier at the age of 16. The encouragement from his parents, family and friends, inspired him to improve his musical talents. As he is working abroad and is presently in the UK he could not release more albums.

Despite his busy schedule, he has composed more than 200 songs with two albums being released. They are ‘Chinthnam Bhognam Bhavanam’, his first album released six years ago, and ‘Yego Pisolya’.

He has five musical nites to his credit. Mendonca will be holding his seventh musical nite in UK on June 23, 2013.

His upcoming album ‘Ashavadi’ comprises 12 songs including a song called ‘Atyachaar’ which is apt for present times.

In his message to society, he asks people to support artists, especially Konkani artistes, through which they can exhibit their talents to the fullest and thus help the language grow.
