Bantwal, Apr 3: A woman and her young daughter went missing while on their way to bidi office at Sanoor, Kariangala here on Wednesday April 8.

Mohini (35), wife of Babu Poojary left from home along with daughter Manisha (9), saying that she would be going to bidi workers' office and then to a chemist to buy some medicine. However, neither she not her daughter returned home.

Sources said that Mohini was acquainted with a man from Teerthahalli in Shimoga, and it is suspected that she might have gone away with him. Her husband Babu has filed a complaint in this regard.

At the time she went missing, Mohini was wearing a green churidar with white designs. She can speak Kannada and Tulu.

People are requested to contact Bantwal rural police on 08255235000 if they come across any information about the missing mother and daughter, said SI Mahesh Prasad in a media release.
