Dubai: MVCA to celebrate 8th anniversary on April 19

Dubai, Apr 6: Udenthichim Neketram, Moodbidri Varado Catholic Association (MVCA), along with 13 parishioners will celebrated their 8th Annual Day on Friday, April 19 at The Indian Academy Al Qusais, Dubai.

As a main attraction, well-known artists from Dubai will be performing a hilarious Konknai Drama “Mog Molak Melana” originally authored by William Pinto Padrengi and adapted and directed by Ashuntha Pereira Monteiro.

She is a well-known writer whose credits include authoring and directing two Konkani dramas and publishing two short story books. Her second short story book “Kadryaso Kanto” will be released on this occasion.

Various talented artists have come forward to keep alive the art of drama and the spirit of Konkani. MVCA has provided a foundation and exposure for bright and talented writers, directors, and well-known actors, who have taken Konkani drama’s to new heights. It is a Catholic association, well-known for its noble mission of helping the needy back home irrespective of the caste. They have planned many more helpful projects for the needy.

President Joshve D’souza has expressed his confidence in the success of the event saying, ‘we have done well in all our events and given good entertainment to the people. Our aim is to bring people together from the 13 parishes of Moodbidri Varado and create a platform for new talent. We will encourage more talent in music, dance and acting in Konkani.’ He concluded on a positive note.
