Kundapur, Apr 6: A young girl allegedly committed suicide by laying on the railway track here on Friday April 5 night.

The deceased has been identified as Sumitra (22), daughter of Hariyanna Poojary from Asodu.

As per the information obtained, Sumitra was working as a teacher in Anganavadi for quite some time. She was last seen at around 10 pm by her family members during dinner, after which Sumitra went to bed.

However, later she was found missing, and the family went in search of her but all efforts went in vain.

The tragic death of Sumitra came to light on Saturday morning when her body was found near a railway track close to the house.

Sources said that she was depressed for some reason and hence took the extreme step.

A case has been registered in the Kundapur police station.

Very sad to hearing such news’s..i really don’t understand why they are ending their precious lives? Why can’t they share their problems with their parents? Now these days all educated youths are committing suicide & we are scared to watch movies containing such scenes.
My humble request with all of you & specially youths ,if there is a problem & there will be solution that's called "BEAUTIFULL LIFE" just enjoy it dont destroy.

Hope family will recover soon from the loss.
It is very unfortunate these days youngsters are taking this extreme step. We as parents should talk to them, get involved with their life, and resolve their problem. Then only we would be able to understand what these youngsters going through these days. We should allow them to express their view openly and boldly.

May your soul rest in peace..

Yes Mr. Bhandarkar, a real friend could have saved her. Lot of understanding and acceptance by the society might have helped her too.

It is all unemployed Jobless Youngsters (literate or illiterate )who are wearing Good Dresses at the cost of Parents who lobbys Young Girls with their false showup. Finally these youngesters deceive such Girls or disappear from the Scene. No remedy but to bear. It is all because of Corruption and our low state of living hood. No one to blame but our growth of Population and Selfish Leaders.
