Bangalore: Fr Dolphy Joseph Pais elected as Provincial of Karnataka Capuchins

Bangalore, Apr 10: Fr Joseph Dolphy Pais has been elected as the new Provincial Minister of the Karnataka Province with a overwhelming majority.

Fr Dolphy Pais

Br Alwyn Dias, Br Anil Sequeira

Br Santa Lopez, Br George Godwin

He was elected during the 6th Provincial Chapter of the Karnataka Capuchins being held at Shanthi Sadhana, Bangalore.

52-year-old Fr Dolphy Pais served as the Vicar Provincial in the outgoing Provincial Council.

He holds a doctorate in spirituality and is the programme director at Franciscan Institute of Spirituality, India, Bangalore. He was born at Banakal in the diocese of Chikmagalur but later shifted to Bangalore.

Br Alwyn Dias (Paladka) was elected as the Vicar Provincial and Brs Anil Sequeira (Taccode), Santa Lopez (Lower Kasarkod, Karwar), George Godwin (Magge, Chikmagalur) were elected as the councilors for the triennium.
