Security breach at home minister's house


New Delhi, Apr 11 (IANS): Thirteen police officer were suspended after protestors barged into the residence of Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde here Wednesday evening, police said.

"At least 13 police officers have been suspended for dereliction of duty," police said.

Around 200 Jat protestors gathered outside Shinde's bungalow No.2 at Krishna Menon Marg around 4.30 p.m. and raised slogans for reservations.

"About three to four protesters barged into the minister's house. They also damaged the front gate," said a police officer.

The protestors fled when police arrived.

Over 50 police personnel have been deputed at the spot.

Police detained some protestors for breach of security.
