Bangalore, Apr 11: After the flak received by Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister and NCP leader Ajit Pawar on whether the dams should be filled by 'urination’ if it does not rain in drought-hit Maharashtra, another minister from the neighbouring State – Home Minister R R Patil – is apparently running the risk of being hauled up by the Election Commission of India for his provocative remarks asking the people of border district of Belgaum to ''elect 5 to 7" Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti leaders to State Assembly and call the shots in Karnataka Assembly.

The Election Commission of India has decided to seek a report from the Deputy Commissioner of Belgaum on a provocative speech delivered by Maharashtra Home Minister R R Patil in Belgaum, border town of the State.

The State’s Chief Electoral Officer Anil Kumar Jha said: “We will seek a report from the Belgaum Deputy Commissioner" on alleged provocative speech made by Patil a few days ago.

Patil appealed to the Marathi community members to elect at least five to seven members of the Maharashtra Ekikarana Samithi (MES) to the Legislative Assembly.

“If you (Marathi community) elect five to seven MLAs, the Government of Karnataka will come to us,” Patil reportedly said while addressing a public meeting in Belgaum on Sunday.

Patil was addressing a function to mark the birthday celebration of MES leader and Editor of Marathi daily, 'Tarun Bharat.’

According to newspaper reports, the Maharashtra Home Minister made the remark while recalling the incident when the Belgaum Mayor Vijay Pandurang More was allegedly attacked by Kannada activists for the decision of the Belgaum Municipal Corporation seeking merger of Belgaum and several parts of Marathi speaking areas of Karnataka with Maharashtra.

R.R. Patil is talking about merger of Belgaum with Maharashtra, but before that he should know that Northern part of Maharashtra which is also called as Vidharbha - is as backward as Jharkhand or Bihar. Let him first think about developing backward districts of Vidharbha which has witnessed highest number of suicides of farmers taken place in the entire country in last Ten years.
Has any one seen Karnataka Ministers going to Kannada Majority areas in the neighbouring states like - Akkalkot, Solapur, Ichalkaranji, Kasargod, Talavadi (Salem) or Adoni (AP) and giving Provocative speeches ?

This 'Urine man' is from NCP which is part and parcel of all urinating activities of UPA government. All kannadigas should join together and just throw them out in both assembly and Loksabha elections and urinate on them!!

Earlier years there used to be 2-3 MES MLAs in Karnataka Assembly. But now a days their number is ZERO.

Marathi speaking people are happily living in Belgaum just like Kannada speaking people in Solapur, Sangli, Kolhapur etc. These political leaders and MES instigate Marathi people for their political benefits.

RR Patil should not poke his nose into internal matters of Karnataka, else one day his face also will be blackened like Vijay More.

Ajit pawar and R.R. Patil are behaving like Dons of Mumbai. They have just forgotten that they have been elected by people. The leaders need to behave as wise Indians. Ultimately Maharashtra must be divided in order to provide justice and good governace to people there. Look like leaders are out of control.

What will happen to newly constructed Vidhan Saudha in Belgaum. Nothing is going to happen. Minister's only issue statement for the sake of people. Belgaum will retain with karanatka and won't be included with Maharashtra..during this birth. R.R.Patil is very honest and sincere person in Mahrashtra..belonged to very poor family. I respect him the most..Everybody is having love towards there state..it won't make any difference. Some of buses will pelt stones in coming days...apart from all remain the same..!!! Our Mangaloreans are in Mahrashtra cabinet. Suresh Shetty is Health Minister. Gopal Shetty is from BJP.. Ratnakar Shetty involved with BCCI earlier alongwith Sharad Pawar...Congress MLA Jagannath Shetty is from Chembur..to name few..It's not same as earlier when shiv-sena torched Hotel Guru-Kripa Hotel (Shankar Vital Bus)in Parel..They want's to think twice before taking any steps..!!

Before the speech they will ask local leaders, about which subject they have to speak..and they speak. They doesn't know what is real issue. So, this Patil should be given a nice lesson so that others shouldn't do this.

The best way to stop border fighting is to get a Supreme Court ruling to freeze the borders as per the 1956-formation of States. This can be changed only when parts of the state / states are combined to create a new state. There is an urgent need to divide Maharastra in 3 smaller states so as Andhra Pradesh. Good for governance and control of law and order.
