Dubai, Apr 13: Kannada Koota UAE, one of the vibrant association for Kannadigas in UAE have been conducting various programmes differently here for several years keeping up the Kannada language and tradition alive in this part of the world.

After the success of last year's Sangeetha Saurabha, this year too the program was held on April 5 at JSS International School AL Barsha with many Kannadigas witnessing the colourful programme.

As usual it started with Ganesha song by local singers and Ganesha Vandana classical dance beautifully presented by Bharatha Natya dance group Bramara from Bangalore which is led by Srimati Vandya Srinath. The group of five dancers Aishwarya Raman, Rachana, Asha and Keerthi were especially flown from India for this programme. They mesmerized the audience by their dance skills on Dashavataram, fusion dance, Jai Baratha Jananiya Tanujate and many more which was very well applauded.

Standup comedian and Kannada small screen actor Shrinath Vashista narrated the dance programme with his fluent and sound Kannada and also floored the people in his comedy speech programme.

It was nice to hear the melodious singing by local talented Kannada singers Shiva Kumar, Guru Raj, Uday Nanjappa, Vidya Shiva, Sneha and Deepa who presented old, new, popular Kannada film songs, medleys, folk songs and Kannada Sugama Sangeeta. They were ably supported by Jeetu, Subhod, Akhil and Anand who provided wonderful background music.  Audience craved and sounded with once more slogans after every song.

Surprise of the programme was a melodious, romantic Kannada song “Elliruve Manava Kaaduva rupasiye” beautifully sung by Harish Sherigar, MD of ACME Group which went for huge round of applauds from the audience.

A brief stage programme was held to felicitate sponsors, guests, programme supporters, media partners, dancers and singers. Mohamed Mustaffa of Essar Group, Satheesh Venkataramana of Chilly Willy Trading, B M Jafer of Thonse Healthcare, Harish Sherigar of ACME , Shodhan Prasad of Nama Tuluveru, Kannada Koota’s president Sadan Das, directors Aruna Mutugadar, Mallikarjuna Gowda, Virendra babu, Uma Vidyadar and Sandeep Kumar Vale were present at the stage.
