Mangalore: Nine couples tie the knot at Noorani Yatim Khana

Mangalore, Apr 15: Nine couples entered wedded life at a mass marriage function held at Noorani Yatim Khana here on Sunday April 14.

The programme was held under the aegis of Noorani Yatim Khana as well as Darul Masakeen. Shaikuna Tajul Ulema Assayyed Abdurrahman Bukhari Kunhikoya Tangal guided the religious procedures.

Afroz with Janatunisa, K M Ashraf with Mubeena, Shamir with Maimuna, Shabir with Asma, Mukhtar with Hajira, Mustafa with Tabzeera, Zameed Pasha with Ayesha, Anwar with Naseema, Abdul Samad with Zubeida were the 9 couples.

In-charge of Marriage Committee, V S Abubakker Haji, member of Wakf Board, Shafi Saadi, and convener, Abdul Nazir Haji, participated.

Ahmed Abbas, secretary, welcomed. Haroon Ahsani delivered introductory address. M S Ummer coordinated the programme.

Over a thousand people including few politicians, religious leaders, general public, and family members of the couples were present.
