First of all, great pics .. its amazing ... Kudos to you!

Secondly, I agree with most of the comments below, both positive and negative. The aerial view looks nice because of the greenery or whatever is left of it ... not because of the city. However, to be fair the city of Mangalore is a lot greener than most cities in India or other cities in the world of its SIZE. However, up close, the city seems chaotic and cluttered. There does not seem to be any organization (typical Indian city). If there were no trees ... city would look terrible. I think the government needs to do more to make the city cleaner, more organized, more green. Bring back the tiled roofs with modern twist. PLANT MORE TREES. No ad hoc development need more planned development taking the environment and the people into account. Did I say plant more trees, not just in cities ...everywhere across Karnataka.

The Paragliding Photos of Mangalore indeed is beautiful, breathtaking! And also unbelievable! I lived in Mangalore (Bunts Hostel) in the 1960s during my college days, I visited there with my family every year, but I never realised Mangalore is so beautiful. I think, my wife and I shall relocate to Mangalore to spend our retirement days there!

I have been living in Bangalore for the past 8 months now. Before that I have spent all my life in Mangalore but it was only after I moved here that I realized the value of living in a place like Mangalore.
Our little coastal city is nothing less than a heaven on earth. Every single thing about this place is so perfect (Except for the heat and the 'sanga' attacks). Mangalorean people are genuinely decent and approachable. Women feel safe in the streets. Children get the best education. Mangalore is the perfect mix of a modern day metro and a small town with strong values. The traffic is moderate, its not heavily populated and trust me when I say this...we mangaloreans are smart and intelligent people. I had heard people say so before, but now I know it. I get to see that everyday at my work place.
Its been 4 days now since this article came up and ever since then I have not closed this window in my computer. I see these pictures everyday in the morning before starting work. Makes me feel proud to be a Mangalorean...If you take a look at the skyline of Bangalore or any other metros in India you will only see mess. But these picture...the clean roads, tall buildings and lots and lots of green everywhere...I hope and pray that Mangalore stays Mangalore forever. What we need now is more high end job opportunities for our youth so that they get to show their productivity and talent within our own city. It is sad that the youth have to leave Mangalore to get good jobs.

Greenary replaced by concrete. It is for us to guess which is better. Goa and Mangalore along the west coast line are no more beautiful but developed no doubt.

    Dear Readers,
It is a real professional who can not only see the beauty but capture it with such nice shots. It may not be easy to locate a scene and shoot it while paragliding. Kudos to you Dayanand!!! Thanks a lot to Daiji for showing us our beloved city in it's royal beauty decked in red/green and pearls (red colour soil/greenery with water that shines apart from the varied colours of tar, concrete etc.)
