Beltangady, Apr 18: Capuchin Krishik Seva Kendra Vimukti Laila organized a programme called Makkala Utsava 2013 at Sharada Mantapa Ujire on Wednesday April 17.

The programme began with a small stage programme at 9 am and continued till evening with various cultural activities and prize distribution.

Ashwini inaugurated the programme. Fr Alwin Dais, vice provincial of Karnataka Capuchin province presided, Fr Vinod Mascarenhas, director of Capuchin Krishik Seva Kendra Vimukit, Shreyass, president of Children Clubs and other chief guests Sumangala P, block education officer of Belthangady, Puttaswami, child development officer, Subash Jadavu, block resource person of Block Resouirce Centre, Belthangady, Swagath and Bavya representatives of Vimukti Children clubs were present on the stage during the programme.

The director of Vimukti Fr Vinod Mascaren spoke at the occasion and said that the children must dream and the dream shoud be high, that is to be an engineer, doctor, Tashildar, President and Prime Minister of India. Until the children dream about the goals they will never achieve anything, he said. He wished them and suggested them to dream and make a way for their growth and to be in good positions in the future.

Similarly arrived guests and president of the programme appreciated the work of Vimukti organization and said that the children are the best resource of the country and the organization works for the development of that core resource. So the work which they do will be successful when the 65 children club children utilize all the opportunities in the best way. They also wished all the best to the future of all the arrived 800 children during their speech.

The three children were given the opportunity during the programme to share their experience, Ajay, Jayaraj and Ramya from Vimukti Children Clubs. They said that the club activities have influenced them to to come up in the educational as well as in the cultural level of their personal life. They appreciated the organization for rendering service for the growth of children in Belthangady taluk.

The programme introductory speech was given by Glenisha Monteiro, representative of Vimukti Children Club, Ruksana and Jayashree compered, Srishanthi welcomed the guests and finally vote of thanks was proposed by Shrijana.
