Bangalore, Apr 19: A galaxy of national leaders of BJP led by party patriarch L K Advani and BJP national president Rajnath Singh will be taking part in the launch of the ruling party’s electoral campaign in Karnataka on April 21.

Advani will be launching the BJP’s state-wide campaign at Ranebennur in Haveri district and Davangere, which are considered the bastions of former chief minister and KJP chief B S Yeddyurappa’s KJP, where the Lingayat strongman had lauched his Karnataka Janata Party as a rival to BJP.

Briefing reporters on the BJP’s state-wide electoral campaign, State BJP President Prahlad Joshi said the party has hired two helicopters to enable the BJP Central leaders to hop around in different key locations.

Joshi, however, said the tour programme of Gujarat Chief Minister and the prime ministerial aspirant Narendra Modi in the State is yet to be finalized.

''Modi will be definitely touring the State for electioneering. However, he has to confirm the dates and then we will decide the key constituencies where he will be addressing the public meetings,” Joshi said.

The Bangalore leg of the BJP poll campaign will be launched by BJP opposition leader in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj and national general secretary Anant Kumar at separate public meetings in Malleswaram, Shivajinagar and Shantinagar on April 21.
