Udupi: ICYM diocese-level cultural competition 'Spandan' on May 12

Udupi, Apr 19: Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Udupi deanery, in association with ICYM Udyavar unit will be organizing Udupi diocese-level Konkani cultural nite 'Spandan-2013' on Sunday May 12 from 4 pm onwards at Udyavar Church open ground.
Spandan-2013 cultural nite will be based on the theme 'Vechik puth – dhu'. Ony the first 12 churches to register their names, out of over 40 churches, can take part.
The winner will be given a trophy and cash prize of Rs 11,111; second prize will be a trophy and cash prize of Rs 8,888, and third prize a trophy and cash prize of Rs 6,666. There will be special individual prizes also.
Spandan-2013 will be held under the leadership of Fr Cyprian Pinto, parish priest, Udyavar and director, Udyavar ICYM unit, Fr Alban D'Souza, parish priest, Kalmady Church and director, Udupi deanery ICYM, Fr Romeo Lewis, parish priest, Perampally Church and director, Udupi deanery ICYM, Maxim D'Sa Moodubelle, animator, Udupi deanery ICYM unit, Stevan Colaco, president, Udupi deanery ICYM and conveneor of Spandan 2013, Sunith Pereira, president, ICYM Udyavar Unit, Teena Machado, director of the programme. The event will be compered by Ritesh D'Souza, Udyavar.
Rules and Regulations
- No entry free.
- Anyone above 12 years can take a part.
- Time limit of 15 minutes to perform for individual team. (Skit, Konkani group dance)
- In group dance, minimum 4 and in a skit minimum 6 persons should participate. There is no upper limit.
- First, second, and third prizes along with individual prizes will be awarded.
- Only the first 12 churches register their names will be eligible for the competition.
