Mangalore: Co-education in Besant College from this year

Mangalore, Apr 20: President of Women’s National Education Society, Kudpi Jagadish Shenoy, informed at a press conference held here on Friday April 19, that the state department of PU education has given its nod for beginning co-education in Besant National Women’s PU College at Kodialbail in the city.
He revealed that the college will be converted into a co-education college beginning from the academic year 2013-14 itself.
He also said that the college, which hitherto was known with the name, Besant National Women’s PU College, has been re-christened as Besant National PU College.
Society vice president, Manel Annappa Nayak, and principal, Parameshwari Y S, were present at the press conference.
