Mangalore: We too are ashamed of you - Karnik to Moily

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Apr 20: BJP MLC, Capt Ganesh Karnik, through a press statement, has condemned the statement of union minister, Veerappa Moily that the latter feels ashamed to be identified as a former Chief Minister of the state.

“If you feel ashamed at being a former Chief Minister of Karnataka, the people of the district too are ashamed at having a former Chief Minister like you, who did not contribute anything to the district’s progress,” he quipped.

“Moily is a rejected politician, having unsuccessfully fought two elections from Mangalore Lok Sabha constituency. The recent scams have proved his claims of honesty to be fake. His only achievement has been claiming credit for projects implemented by other people,” Karnik ridiculed.

Karnik further said that the union government is neck-deep in corruption. “Why does Moily not feel ashamed to be a part of the union cabinet, which is involved with a number of scams worth lacs of crores of rupees?” he questioned.

Moily, who represented Karkala constituency many a time, has failed to achieve any progress there. Even his own party men do not believe his words. He has nothing to be proud of, even after having worked as the chairman of Karnataka State Administrative Reforms Commission, Chief Minister, and holding different portfolios in the union cabinet. "What else, other than being ashamed of himself, can Moily do, for not contributing anything even after holding important positions?" he questioned in his press statement.
