Kundapur: I am technically with BJP, mentally with KJP - Yeddyurappa's son

Silvester D'Souza
Daijiworld Media Network – Kundapur (SP)

Kundapur, Apr 22: “Because of the initiatives undertaken by the then Karnataka Chief Minister (CM), B S Yeddyurappa, Byndoor constituency could witness rapid growth, on account of grants amounting to about Rs 500 crore sanctioned by him. There is no doubt that the people of the constituency will vote for KJP, duly considering the progress of the constituency under Yeddyurappa’s regime,” opined Shimoga MP and son of Yeddyurappa, B Y Raghavendra. Byndoor assembly constituency forms a part of Shimoga Lok Sabha constituency.

He was in the town to take part in Rama Navami celebrations. He addressed the presspersons at Jewel Park Hotel in Hemmadi near here on Sunday April 21.

“I became a BJP MP when my father was the CM of the state, and Byndoor constituency falls under my jurisdiction. I have received a notice about my ouster from the BJP. Technically I continue to be a BJP MP even now, but mentally I am with the KJP led by my father. Therefore, I will strive for the victory of KJP candidates in the assembly constituencies falling within my Lok Sabha constituency,” he clarified.

Raghavendra claimed that Byndoor constituency, which was one of the most neglected constituencies in the state, witnessed sea change after Yeddyurappa rose to power. “A sense of guilt encompasses me, as I feel that Byndoor has become orphaned after Yeddyurappa lost his chair. In the past, severe drinking water problem was experienced by the people here, although they live close to the sea and rivers. Yeddyurappa, who was aware of this problems, tried to mitigate their hardships by sanctioning a vented dam across River Sauparnika at Shirur, Alur village at a cost of Rs 82 crore to provide drinking water to several villages. A large number of fishermen live in this region. Over Rs 120 crore was spent for developing Maravanthe, Koderi, Gangolli, Shiroor and other villages where the presence of fishermen is predominant. People know who were behind these developments,” he added.

The project of constructing a well-equipped railway station at Kollur was sanctioned when Yeddyurappa was the CM. Schemes like free bicycles to students, Bhagyalaxmi scheme, old age pension, widow pension etc have benefitted scores of families in the state, and my father and myself have tried hard to enable the people of the constituency to lead a happy life, Raghavendra claimed.

Thereafter, Raghavendra visited several places within Byndoor constituency and campaigned for the KJP candidate. Leader, Ashok Kumar Shetty, KJP candidate, Navinchandra Shetty, and several others were accompanied him.

As per statement of Raghevendra, there are ray of hope to remain BJP!!!I understand from his comments after Assembly election result the door of KJP-BJP joining together kept open? This is not good politics and end of the day KJP going to loose. With out BJP ,BSY will be nothing and with out BSY BJP will be nothing in Karnataka.BSY's main contentions are 1)LK ADVANI
    2)ANANTHU
    3)ISHU
    4)AAR ASHOK
5)BILLIONAIRE RAVI.....If these people clipped BSY will return home. The scenario in CENTRAL BJP HIGH COMMAND is also apt for BSY's thinking which has two powerful Camp.1)Modi ...supports BSY

    2)LK ADVANI, opposes BSY!!!
Therefore, the TECHNICAL- MENTAL has more meaning in between the lines..

what development has taken place in Byndoor. Nothing, has improved, still is under developed city. No project no improvement. Byndoor is the new taluk, but it has no Bus-stand. No proper interior road to connect the village. people are facing water supply problem during March-June in Mayyadi, Thagerse,Durmi. Yedduppa has lot of money for matta, atleast he could have take the renovation of the historic temple Byndoor Shenswara Temple. In what context Our MP Raghevedra said, there is rapid growth in byndoor. it is big joke of the year 2013.

Still the drinking water problem in Byndoor is not solved. This year too people are suffering from drinking water supply. water supply through pipeline is stopped more than a month ago and this MP is saying his father sanctioned crores of money for the dam.? Did his father sanctioned money from his pocket.? this is the tax payers money. Why to take credit for the public money.?
If Yeddy was CM for full 5years by now he would de-notified the entire karnataka to his family.

Its bz of people like you we are loosing great leaders..and other countries are attacking and treating us like dogs..how do you know the reality from Dubai.

We all know what congress did from last 60 years from our tax money..

With all due respect, if anyone were to be stuck in a such a technical and mentally contradicting situations, the right thing to do is to resign from the technical portion and join the mental portion. Bottom line is, if he quits BJP and joins KJP, he will be disqualified as an MP. So it is nothing technical or mental, it is only the longing to cling onto power - a trait which Mr. Yeddyurappa displayed during his tenure.
