Saudi Arabia: Excitement aplenty at MASA annual Sports Day

Saudi Arabia, Apr 22: MASA Sports Day 2013 was held recently with great enthusiasm, with teens and adults participating sportively in each event.
President Dayanand Shriyan inaugurated the Sports Day event with a classic parade by the four houses identified with colored ribbons in Blue, Green, Red and Yellow.
The briefing was done by the advisory committee member Ravi Karkera by appreciating the great efforts put in by the sports committee head Vidyadhar Shetty with the support of general secretary Naveen Bhandary, joint secretary Mohammed Nooman, Excom members, members of sports committee and other committee members.
Exciting individual and group games were arranged for all the age groups of kids, teens and adults. Three leg race for couples, lemon and spoon race for gents above 50 and Ladies cricket were the special attractions of the evening.
Among the individual games sack race, chair race and treasure hunt were full of fun and entertaining. First, second and third place winners were invited to the victory stand and were awarded with bouquets and medals.
The House championship was won by Red House with 53 points while the first runner up was secured by Blue House with 38 points. Yellow house finished their tally with 36 points and Green House with 33 points.
Gold, silver and bronze medals were distributed to the winners for individual and group games.

It was an enjoyable day for the MASA members and family, the event concluded by 7:45 pm with vote of thanks and the national anthem.
