Bangalore: Auto driver helps nab blast accused, says no to Rs 5 lac prize

Daijiworld Media Network – Bangalore (VM)

Bangalore, Apr 24: An auto driver who voluntarily came forward as the prime witness to help catch the accused in the recent bomb blast near BJP office at Malleshwaram here, has reportedly declined from accepting the Rs 5 lac prize money.

As per the information obtained, on the day of the blast, the auto driver had seen four people who had parked their bike near the BJP office, with a bomb planted on it, and even on the previous day the driver had seen the same people having a conversation at the same place on several phones.

After the bomb blast incident, the driver voluntarily approached the police commissioner to give his eyewitness account and revealed the details of the four persons he had seen.

Taking serious note of his statement, the commissioner along with other officials examined the footage in the CCTV camera installed nearby. Later the Bangalore police and Tamil Nadu intelligence officers were successful in arresting the accused from Tamil Nadu.

Among the three arrested, two were held from Chennai and another from Madurai in a late night operation on Monday April 22.

After the arrest, the auto driver confirmed that he had seen the same people planting bomb near the BJP office.

For his brave gesture, the government announced a prize money of Rs 5 lac but the big-hearted auto driver refused and instead asked the officials to utilize the money for the treatment of people injured in the blast.

    Unbelievable and absurd !!
Police can anyways examine the CCTV without anybody’s statement !
Moreover report says four people arrested have said to facilitated the blast ,but not the actual culprits who planted the explosives ,contrary to the statement of the our Rikshawala and Policewala “!

INCREDIBLE ! There are some people who don't accept anything which comes free or gift. Two years back in Dubai, one Pakistani Taxi driver handed over one suitcase to Police.Businessman from Africa forgot his suitcase in taxi. That suitcase contained more than US$ 200,000 /- When media asked Taxi driver about this incident..He said "Now I can have sound sleep"..Even in Malayalam crorepathi program, a labourer won Rs.25 Lakhs..He promised his two aunts that he would buy land for them" One of the aunts attended that program..
Anyway..I wish all the best to auto driver.God bless him and his family.

I salute this gentleman for his most selfless, patriotic gesture.

Understandable that for security reasons his identity needs to be kept secret but he surely deserves the highest national award.

First for he did his duty as an Indian, second for donating the prize money for the treatment of the injured.

I hope the police department will not share the booty within them.
