Doha: Kulshekar Lions reunite at get-together

Doha, Apr 28: Although it looked like a casual get-together, it was in fact, an inspirational reunion. Over 75 residents of Kulshekar, Mangalore, who are residing in the Doha, met on April 26 at Al Wakra family Park and relived the memories of their native place.

Some classmates, team-mates, ex-colleagues at work etc, met for the first time in several years. Initiative was undertaken by Dennis D’silva, Carol D’almeida, Prema Monteiro, Reena Castelino, Alwyn Goveas, Jeethan D’souza, Kiran Vas, Maxim Thomas D’souza, Prakash Noronha, and Alexis Castelino turned fruitful, as the reunion was not restricted to any single community, religion, or group. It was an open-to-all invitation, and the turnout was really encouraging.

Alwyn goveas welcomed the gathering and demonstrated purpose of the meet. Thereafter funfilled activity games were conducted by Carol, Preema, Reena and Kiran.

All had an amazing time, exchanging views by recalling the old memories of Kulshekar and spending time with family n friends. At the same many assured help for the back home who are in dire need.  Some of them suggested organizing such meets in future also.

Everyone said, "It was an amazing experience, and meeting our people outside the native place is always a wonderful experience".

Reena thanked everyone who had joined as a team and enjoyed the day-out with their family and friends.
