Mangalore, May 1: “From four days, I have been supporting J R Lobo. Even in my region, I asked my supporters to vote for the Congress party. Though I have not joined the Congress party to defeat Chengappa, I will support J R Lobo. I pleaded with people not to vote for BJP and this time let us vote for change to Congress. Except Amarnath Shetty, no JD(S) candidate will get more than 2,000 votes,” said D M Aslam addressing a press meet on Tuesday April 30.

He also said, “I have not received any authentic letter from the party. Kumaraswamy told me to be silent till May 15. I have worked for the JD(S) party and built it. The votes I earned will never go to Chengappa or others who came recently to JD(S). I respect Kumaraswamy and will wait till May 15.”  

Commenting on the issue of CD release by Pradeep, Aslam said, “Even I have the CD about what role Pradeep played in the murder of a JD(S) activist recently.”
