Bangalore, May 5: The much-awaited results of Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) and II Pre University (PU) examinations in the state will be declared on Monday May 6. While the SSLC results will be out by 12 noon, the PUC results will be announced by 5 pm.

The results which were supposed to be out on May 3 were postponed to May 6, due to elections.

Chief secretary of primary and higher education department, G Kumaranayak will announce the results during a press meet which will be held in the department headquarters at Malleshwaram at 11 am. The results will be posted on the internet by 12 noon. The SSLC results will be dispatched to educational institutions on May 7.
 
On Monday, by 5 pm the results of II Pre University (PU) examinations will be announced, informed department director Chakravarthi Mohan.
 
Around 8.49 lac students appeared for the SSLC exams held between April 1 and April 10. There were 6.13 lac students for the II PU exams, which were held from March 13 to March 28.
