Bhatkal, May 7: Local girl Pooja Pandurang Kamat, studying in Anand Ashram Convent School secured 98.72 percent (617 out of 625 ) and topped the district in the SSLC exams. Her scores are Mathematics :99, Science:99, Social Science :100, Language 1-123, Language 2 -99, and Language 3-97.
Speaking to the media she said, “I thank God and I would like to give all credit to my teachers, parents, and my friends for their support. I expected 95 percent but I’m happy that I have scored more than I expected, thanks to all teachers."
"My father is a businessman in Bhatkal and my mother is a teacher at the government school. Daily, I used to study more than one hours. Marks were not important but excellence was. My friend helped me to study. Finally, I would like to say that I always used to study with textbooks. It helped me in all situations and the best way to study wa sgoing through books and concepts. My next aim is to take PCMB in PUC and I want to become a doctor," she said.
