No parliament till Bansal, Ashwani Kumar quit: BJP

New Delhi, May 7 (IANS): Both houses of parliament were stalled Tuesday as the BJP pressed for Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's resignation over irregularities in the allocation of coal blocks and also demanded that ministers P.K. Bansal and Ashwani Kumar step down.

Both houses were adjourned till 12 noon, minutes after the question hour began in the morning at 11 a.m. when the houses met.

When the Lok Sabha resumed its proceedings at 12 noon, members of the Bharatiya Janata Party advanced to the speaker's podium demanding the prime minister's resignation. They also demanded the resignations of Law Minister Ashwani Kumar and Railway Minister Bansal.

Speaker Meira Kumar tried to pacify the BJP members but they refused to budge and persisted with their slogan-shouting. As the ruckus continued, Congress MP Francisco Sardinha, who was in the chair, adjourned the house till 1 p.m.

The upper house of the parliament witnessed similar scenes with BJP members shouting slogans against the prime minister. Amid the chaos, Deputy Chairman P.J. Kurien adjourned the house till 2 p.m.

Both houses have seen repeated disruptions by opposition parties over the allocation of coal blocks and 2G spectrum.

The BJP has said it will not let parliament function till Manmohan Singh resigns over the alleged involvement of his office in the irregularities in the allocation of coal blocks and 2G spectrum and Bansal and Ashwani Kumar quit too.

While Bansal's nephew was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for allegedly taking a bribe for the appointment of a member of the Railway Board, Ashwani Kumar has come under attack in the Supreme Court for vetting the CBI report on coal allocation.

Whatever it is - Ismaelbhai steadfast in his belief in Congress unlike BJPians etc. He has defended and blamed congress politician when they were right\wrong. For me he is a true Congress follower.
For instance, when Yeddy was CM - he was praised sky high by some BJPians here and also would not acccept that he has done anything wrong or corrupted. There was a complete U-turn when Yeddy landed up in jail - if u read the msgs sent here in this forum - will confirm what I am saying.
Ismaelbhai has so many sources of info besides well read in political news as well as knowledge of politics - I salute him for his knowledge and one can say he is very calm against all criticism (99%) against his views of politics here.
Dinesh Poojary too used to write well earlier - but somehow something happened ... sad - we read something else only now-a-days
I also feel you too are very good in your views - and like to learn from your views.
That makes me wish "wish I can understand and write like all of you
    Have a great day 8th May, 2013.

Lastly let us support whichever govt. comes to power and denounce it if they become corrupt.
After all, we all will be benefited or affected by the Govt's. attitude.

@Vishal D'souza, without knowing the real fact, we should not comment. I do not agree that there is corruption, but some thing is missing OR made error in the documentation. The best way for us to pray for them to get the Wisdom, so they will be fine. When you play Cricket!!! The opposite Team (Don't like Boundaries n Six's) even they will not allow the ball to cross the limit line. Like same thing, There is no difference between Sea Water n River (Saltier/Sweet) But while they join together, they will be one and are called What? River? Sea? That is Politic's, just decide whom to Vote Or choose....I do believe in Miracles, God only do the best because without him we are nothing...Let's pray and he do the best for us. AMEN

BJP made a big blunder by asking BSY to quit CM's post. Corrupt people have been protected in CONGRESS party then why BJP took action on Gadkari & Yediurappa though their corruption is much lesser than the SEA of corruption in CONGRESS led central Govt. Present Congress situation definetly promotes more & more corruption. But people should thank GOD that at least BJP is fighting lone battle against Corruption. GOD SAVE INDIA & INDIAN PEOPLE.

Dinesh Bhai...more than congress, our Ismail Bhai's pressure did the work here. BJP had to bend down for him, what our BJPoojaari couldnt do though press confernce, our friend succeded in in this forum. Day in day out he demanded for Yeddi's ouster challenging BJP's low command. But finally when they begged Yeddi to step down and when he did our friend suddenly did a U-turn and again accused BJP of "malathayi dhorane" that too when Yeddi took supari from congress to finish BJP against CBI's nooze. It was too late for BJP when they realised they fell in trap of congress when congress is sheilding all their black sheep. They could have waitied atleast till 2014 untill & if succeded bring CBI under their control and safegaurd our BSY.

Come to think of it, you are right.
All this time everyone forgot about Sonia - she is the actual culprit as she is the head of INC (not the Govt!!)
Poor CBI - taken to task like a small child!!

By the way all are very quiet about the results of recent election that are going to be announced tomorrow on 8th of May, 2013. Any guesses....

Parliament or no parliament - now a days it hardly matters. Government does what it wants, Opposition does the same.
Save some money by withholding MPs' allowances.
People may criticise BJP now - If BJP comes to power Congress will repeat the same show - remember boycotting George Fernandes?

What is new in this announcement. it has been going on for such a longtime and it is bad news for all of us.
BJP is not a party who wants good for the people of India. It's only aim is to B\m UPA to hinder any good work being done by them.
People are not in those dark ages - now as they can watch\see\hear immediately what BJP is doing and their main reason for doing this (to win the next election) is well known to them.
They may be even saying - this is not the way for BJP to win an election - jeopardising the welfare of people of India.
What a waste of time and waste of tax payers money....

When BJP is fighting corruption at the national level, Congress should do the same in Karnataka.

But, it will not happen as all the parties are thieves in Karnataka.

These parties fight in front of the public.

Behind the scene, they have good understanding and are united on the issue of corruption.
