Udupi, May 7: The driver of an auto rickshaw was injured after he rammed into a bus that stopped abruptly at Udyavar here on Tuesday May 7.
The injured has been identified as Prashanth Katpady (28).
The accident occured in front of Udyavar petrol station when an APM bus plying from Udupi to Mangalore suddenly applied brakes to pick up passengers, even though it was not a bus stop.
When the bus stopped suddenly the auto which was behind rammed into it, causing injuries to Prashanth.
The bus driver fled from the spot.
A case has been registered in Kaup police station.
