Split in KJP-BJP votes helped Congress bag 121 seats: Yeddyurappa

Bangalore, May 9 (PTI): Former Chief Minister and Karnataka Janata Paksha president B S Yeddyurappa today said it was the split votes of his party and BJP that helped Congress bag 121 seats in the May 5 assembly polls.

Addressing a press conference here, he said "it is not positive votes in favour of Congress. As many as 23 seats which Congress has won was because of the split votes".

Yeddyurappa said that within six months of its launching, the party has become eligible for recognition by the Election Commission by winning 10 per cent of the votes polled.

"BJP might have won 40 seats but the percentage of vote is only 20 per cent and compared to this it is really a good achievement of KJP," he said, adding he was happy with the result. "I got people's support beyond my expectations".

Claiming that he was responsible for BJP coming to power in the 2008 polls, Yeddyurappa said "just as I helped BJP get 110 seats in 2008 election, I will work to build KJP. It is a challenge but I will accept it and will build the party by touring the state and win people's confidence."

"Now, I will concentrate on strengthening the party and prepare for the next election to the Lok Sabha," he said. To a question on the debacle of BJP, Yeddyurappa said "I will not comment on this. It is for them (party) to introspect".

What K.J.P has favoured to Congress is not important but what you have done to K.J.P is important.Your performance only count for the performance of the party but not the performance of Congress.Hope, you introspect on the matter and initiate corrective steps. All the best.Thanq.

Yaddiji you have committed great blunder by listening to the crooked advice of Shakuni Dhanajay kumar and splitting the Party. Dhananjay had personal grudge against Advani and misguided you to split BJP and made you fall in to the ditch. Pl keep away that selfish man.

The gameplan of split the vote and win the poll strategy also adopted in Gujrat. Suresh Mehta rival of modi was funded by Congis to fund the GPP of Keshubhai. Out of the 60 seats won by cong in gujarat 37 seats clearly won by them due to GPP split of Leva patel /Koli Patel division. The same system implemented in karnataka too. CBI-Yeddy drama was in september 8th where Yeddy forced to announce KJP and the fruit was CBI hearing bail extension to Yeddi on Sept 9th.
Congress party shud giveup all these mockery and to face clear janadesha in a democratic manner otherwise people of this country may look this party with red eye.

Even with the 3 ways split, BJP-KJP-BSR together have 33 per cent votes against the 37 per cent vote of the Congress.

Some more BJP voters must have voted to Congress because of the split in BJP.

If there was not a split in the BJP, it would have won comfortable majority.

Celebration of the Congress will be shortlived as BJP will win more seats in the coming Lok Sabha elections.

    So, what?
You want merge with Congress? No, you can't! Use your common sense. 300 - 400 vote, which got KJP, doesn't made any difference to Congress.
Anyway keep your same spirit and enthusiasm until lok sabha election. BJP will try to buy you back.

You dirty politician wearing clean white cloths does not mean you are clean. You guys always talk about your party not the tax payer or normal citizen.

It is time for new politician publish their qtr report on web media and show what they achieved in that qtr. and how and why they did not achieved what they promised. Also their networth every qtr.

This should be the mandate for every politician in india going forward.

A split in BJP certainly helped congress one or other way.In terms of vote split, financial support and party workers made BJP bite the dust. The disastrous performance of BJP tells the story. BSY's Mission is completed as BJP time and again retreated that BSY's alienation from BJP will not make any harm in fact,BSY's mission of defeating BJP is far from reality.BUT MISSION IMPOSSIBLE TO MISSION COMPLETED is a reality from KJP!.What next?BSY will re-join BJP once more and the question is before LS election or after!!!He roared before election that ISH will be defeated and MISSION IS ONCE AGAIN COMPLETED on individual basis.!!!!

There was a strong reason for Congress win in Karnataka is JD(S),
Because in JD(S) old age leader are not at ground and younger’s settled with congress or bjp. JDS didn’t given focus for coastal, Hyderabad Karnataka and Mumbai Karnataka. JDS won some Mysore and north. We can see the number of votes JDS candidates (especially in Karavali) its plus to congress these are not to go with bjp because when janatha dal divided JDU turned into BJP. So there is no option to voters, vote to Congress.

Mr. Yaddy you are not a good leader at all, you are a shellfish leader. You fight for your own benefits not for the people of Karnata. BJP not lost because of you. BJP has been rejected by the people of Karnataka because of their bad administration and you are part of that bad administration and corruption. Most of the leaders now a days are coming to power for their own benefits not for the people or this country. If congress will do the same mistake again, people will not spare congress also. So don’t be happy.
