Mangalore, May 10: The Congress camp in the city erupted in jubilation near the district Congress office here on Friday May 10, in celebration of Siddaramaiah being chosen as the new chief minister.

The Congress block under the leadership of former mayor Ashraf celebrated the new CM of Karnataka as well as Bantwal MLA Ramanath Rai's possible elevation as minister.

Addressing reporters, Ashraf said, "The people of Karnataka have taken the right decision and routed out the BJP which had given poor administration. Even in the forthcoming parliamentary elections people should support the Congress."

Kallige Tharanath Shetty said, "The Congress government will never allow moral policing and other social evils. The party will strive to establish a peaceful, harmonious society. Congress will give more importance to the development of infrastructure."

On this occasion Kodijal Ibrahim, Praveenchandra Alva, Naveen D'Souza, Shashidar Hegde and others were present.

P.S.Shetty, that was a trick to confuse Yogesh Bhat's genuine voters. But it was a known fact that Yogesh Bhat would anyway lose the election this time. So too Palemar. The Congress was talking of Yogesh Bhat's and Palemar's defeat by over 15,000 votes.

I can feel the fresh wind blowing all over Mangalore and coastal Karnataka. The force is so powerful that all communal elements like BD HJM, RSS, RS are swept away and dumped in arabian sea. Long live Congress and the people.

Without blessing of God this miracle would not have happened!
So let us not criticize anyone
    in our celebration!
Let us be humble and thank God!
Let us bless our adversaries so that they too will turn to do good and get opportunity to serve the people, so the land will be blessed.
    Karnataka will become Model State.

Its cheap tactics used by almost every party or candidates to confuse and divide the votes of opposite candidates having similar name. Some voters who votes looking at the name of a candidate might accidentally vote for another candidate having similar name.
