Udupi, May 11: In a bid to promote harmony and peace in the region and among different communities, ‘Sarva Dharma Sauharda Koota’ (all-religion meet) was held at St Theresa Church, Kemmannu, as part of the platinum jubilee celebration of the Church here on Saturday May 11.

Fr Stany B Lobo, vicar of Kalyanpur deanery, inaugurated the programme. In his inaugural speech he said, “Break the walls of religious differences and build a bridge of religious unity."

“Let us all be God's disciples without religious and caste barriers. If one has to pray to one's God, one can pray in any religious center in the world and there is no need for any particular center. Technology has made human beings equal to machines. Educated people are becoming more and more corrupt. With increasing corruption, fights and so on, people have now forgotten that they are human beings," he said.

“The foundation of all religions should be love. All should have respect for their religion, as well as for religions of other people too. Let us be united without any barriers. Let us all together help the needy. Let us be human beings with love and respect for others,” he added.

Fr Anil P D’Silva, president of silver jubilee committee, Fr Clifford Fernandes, Sathish Neja of Kalianpur gram panchayat, Nithyananth Kemmannu, Kemmannu gram pachayat president, Rahmatulla Thonse, taluk panchayat member were the chief guests on the occasion.

Church vice-president Ronald Menezes, taluk panchayat member Veronica Cornelio, Alfred Crasta and others were present. Verses from the Bhagavadgita, the Quran and the Bible were recited on the occasion by Vedamurthy Nembu Sridhar Bhat of Ganapathy Temple, Padukudru, Usman Madani, Khateeb of Jamia Masjid, Mijar, and Fr Edward Olivera, respectively.

NOBLE THOUGHT AND PROPER UNITED ACT, CONGRATS TO ALL INVOLVED.
Asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he said in reply, “The coming of the kingdom of God cannot be observed, and no one will announce, ‘Look, here it is,’ or, ‘There it is. For behold, the kingdom of God is among you.” (Lk 17: 20-21).
    GOD IS LOVE.
We humans Once realize this, then all things turn to be better for all. FINDING GOOD THINGS IN OTHERS IS BETTER THAN TO LOOKING FOR WEAKNESS.

Mahatma Gandhi said "god has no religion". "Prayer is not asking. It is a longing of the soul. It is daily admission of one's weakness. It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without heart." "Hate the sin, love the sinner." I also quote Abraham Lincoln, " When I do good I feel Good. When I do bad I feel bad. That's my Religion." So I say beware of bad Politician and Fanatics.

It is so great and this is the way of peace of unity! The smallest deed is better than the greatest intention. While people of different religions sitting together, listening the reading from their sacred books, that will educate everybody as well as bring closer connections in between them as great neighbours. In love, we may find it better to make allowances, rather than make points.

The urgent need of the society is love and peace in between believers of all religions and bearing the burdens each other. Let there be many marches like this to make the devil mad.

This event is a dream come true. God created Adam and Eve of His likeness and image, and commended them to go forth and fill the world worshiping God in whatever the best peaceful method we can either going to temple of God or at home, in common union is simply what God ever intended. Let us build bridges, let us read between our hearts, and let us rejoice together because our time in this world is short. Let us make the best use of it with love and understandings. That is this event about. Congratulations for the people who organized this event and for all those who attended and prayed together in common union. What a happy day!

We are the peace lovers of Dakshina Kannada, we are united with our neighbors to which ever religion they belongs to. It is the political power surging the bad cloud on atmosphere. We profoundly dilute this tactic.

It is a lovely sight to see the local communities Major Religioous Leaders coming together and propagating Love Peace and Harmony. Every Religion shows us the way to reach the Almighty. It is our Fanatical Mind and Egoistic Heart calls other Religion as Satanical or Kafir or Brashta. Kudos to Fr. Stany Lobo when he was Vicar of Angelore, we had a Sarva Dharma Hore Kanike and Sauharda Koota on the ocasion of our Platinum Jubilee. This is only the way to bring Peace and Harmony in our Area.
