Mangalore: Fans go gaga over cine star Sudeep

Mangalore, May 11: Saturday May 11 afternoon was a dream come true for many diehard fans of the famous Bollywood and Sandalwood star Sudeep, popularly known as Kiccha Sudeep. Amidst sweltering heat, the fans eagerly waited to catch a glimpse of the star as he came to endorse the Joy Alukkas store located at Falnir.
The star spent over half an hour interacting with his fans. He tried a few sentences in Tulu as well, as he asked Kudla, “Yencha ullar? Yaan Saukhya... Bokka Daada Vishesha?” He even responded to the fans requests and delivered a hit dialogue from one of his recent movies.
He then proceeded inside the store to light the lamp, and had a look at the various collections on display. “Joy Alukkas is a very trustworthy company and that is the reason why I chose to endorse it. It is not right for an actor to endorse something that is not upto the standards just because he can earn a few bucks quickly. I strongly follow that principle, and hence people can rest assured that Joy Alukkas jewellery is truly world class” he said.
Daijiworld had the exclusive opportunity of interviewing Sudeep. Here are some excerpts:
What do you feel about Mangalore?
Mangalore has always been very special to me, as my mom is from a place close to Mangalore, ie: Udupi. There are many reasons I like Mangalore. First, I like the food here. Also, I don’t know why or how, but within a short span of stay in Mangalore my hair and skin becomes fresh and lively. Thirdly, I like the attitude of people here. They are very straightforward, and they are very selective in their choices and once they choose something, they stick loyally onto those choices, and remain worshipful of the same.
How has this trip been?
This trip has been good. The journey was comfortable, and the warmth of the people here is very reassuring and heart-warming. Joy Alukkas has been a very trustworthy brand, and that is why I chose to endorse it, and thus this trip to various Joy Alukkas outlets across Karnataka.
On Mother’s Day, what would you like to convey to all the mothers in the world?
Mothers Day is a day wherein every child has to be indebted to his/her mother. It is without doubt that mothers play a very vital role in the shaping of the child. My mother has always been my strength so here’s wishing her a great Mother’s Day. My mother is my God. Wherever she wants me to go, whatever she asks me to do, I do it devotedly. Also to all the other mothers out there, I wish you a very Happy Mother’s Day.
What is your message to all your fans?
I always tell everyone, never give up on your dream, never give up on your aim, and whatever it is, never give up on your life. I wish them all success in life.
