40 killed in blasts near Turkish-Syrian border


Ankara, May 12 (IANS/RIA Novosti): At least 40 people were killed and over 100 injured, 29 of them seriously, in two blasts that occurred in a Turkish town of Reyhanli, near Syrian border Saturday, the government said.

Turkey's interior minister Muammer Guler said two cars exploded in front of a municipality building and a post office in the southern province of Hatay, a few kilometres from the main border crossing into Syria.
