Mangalore: Dinesh Amin Mattu appointed media advisor to CM

Mangalore, May 14: Senior journalist from Mangalore, Dinesh Amin Mattu, has been appointed media advisor to chief minister Siddaramaiah.

Mattu is currently the senior associate editor of Kannada daily Prajavani, Bangalore.

Dinesh Amin Mattu, born in Mattu village near Mulky in Dakshina Kannada district, entered the journalism field in 1983 and had joined Prajavani in 1989.

Known for his incisive analysis on political developments at the national and state level, Dinesh Amin Mattu has won several awards for his writings.

In August 2012, he was honoured with the prestigious state-level D Devaraj Urs Award by the then chief minister Jagadish Shettar.

In his new responsibility, Mattu will have the task of guiding the chief minister in his interactions with the media and giving the right picture of the media to the CM and so on.

A secularistic, Dinesh is well-known for his writings in “Mungaru” and “Prajavani”.

    Mr. Amin mattu is a very good choice. he is far better than some of the present journalists. many even tried "bucketing" for this position. vishveshwar bhat is one among them, he even tried to get this position by getting the first interview of mr. siddaramaiah after he took oath as the CM, on his channel(suvarna news)and impress him. But siddaramaiah is a clever man and chose mr amin mattu sir....

    Apart from media issues, Please advise CM to immediately conduct enquiry into all corruption against all leaders(irrespect to party. Especially Reddies, Laad, Esawrappa, Yeddi, DKS, HDK, Revanna, Kheni, Shobha, Renuka, Somanna, Yogishwar, Krishnappa......etc. If only CM is honest it is of no use, he must clean all corruption from the society. Congress won the election with their promise against corruption. Now dont investigate only opposition leaders. Investigate every one and reach logical conclusion immediately.
