Four MLAs from twin districts may become ministers

Four MLAs from twin districts may become ministers

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore/Udupi (SP)

Mangalore/Udupi, May 17: Even as preparations are being made to hold swearing-in ceremony of the new ministry of the state on Saturday May 18, chief minister, Siddaramaiah, it is said, has finalized a list of 25 probable ministers.

As many as 20 among them will be reportedly picked after getting the final nod from Congress general secretary, Rahul Gandhi, and national president, Sonia Gandhi, for being sworn in on Saturday.

The swearing-in ceremony, which was proposed to be held on Friday, stands postponed to 10.30 am on Saturday, as the list is yet to be finalized. It is expected that Rahul and Sonia will scrutinize the list, and suggest certain deletions and additions. The ceremony will be held in the glass house of Raj Bhavan.

In the meanwhile, sources in Congress said that the list of 25 ministers Siddaramaiah has submitted contains names of three legislators from Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts. They are, Ramanath Rai, Vinay Kumar Sorake, and U T Khadar.

Ramanath Rai is expected to get clearance in the first lot itself. It is learnt that Sorake has been lobbying hard to get the ministerial berth in the first list, while Khadar may be inducted in the next expansion.

Another person who has a chance to become first-time minister is Mulky-Moodbidri MLA, Abhay Chandra Jain. The fact that he belongs to Jain community may work to his advantage, sources added. Surprisingly, the name of Puttur MLA, Shakuntala Shetty, who was expected to figure in the first list, has slunk into the oblivion at least for the present.

I don't understand why Siddu has to get permission from Rahul Baby before finalizing the minister's list in the State?. He should be given a free hand to the team, as he knows personally the background of most of the elected MLAs.

Becoming minister is not an absolute necesity for the elected members to perform and prove their worth. It is the reality that only a few become ministers and this should be accepted with positive attitude by all. Sonia, Rahul sacrifised PM post. Such "sacrificial service" is expected from all elected representatives of the people. Giving more and more benefits to the citizens should be the motive and not getting. All should keep in mind our great freedom fighters who were even ready to give their life for the nation. Serve mother India serve Karnataka.

    Sorake - Revenue
    Abhayachandra - Not revealed.

Ramanath rai as transport has got a challenge with bus transport in DK. Private bus people are not friendly with passengers. Too much money for tickets during season time to bangalore. Need more ksrtc buses in city limits.

People got fed up and voted for Congress.
Karnataka has already been looted by BJP.Now Congress will rebuild Karnataka.

Congress fought election with many contradictions, confusions, chaos, wrong ions, lot of dissents and revolts.....yet People of Karnataka blessed them.Should the ion of Candidates were perfect, there would be 150 MLAs.

With regarding to Dakshina Kannada representation in the cabinet concerned,it is perfectly OK if all CONGRESS MLAs of DK are made Minister. Those who are elected in Congress ticket are of CORRUPTION FREE,HONEST,ABLE LEADERS,ONE AMONG LAKHS,EXPERIENCED and SENIORS in their respective constituencies.

BJP made DK as it's policy lab for Karnataka!Nowhere in Karnataka MORAL POLICING are taking place like in DK in which some times it turns uncultured and ugly with the mute support of police force.People of twin districts watched it helplessly and when citizen's turn came they showed insulting defeat to BJP.It's strong holds since decades like UDUPI/PUTTUR/MANGALORE/KUNDAPURA...fallen like playing cards!!!So those who defeated them in the odd weather need to be recognized. Therefore, those four Gentlemen deserves berth in the ministry.ALL THE BEST AND I HOPE A GOLDEN ERA FOR KUDLAITES IS OFFING.
