Kundapur, May 18: “The poverty in India has reduced compared to the past. Society will progress only if individuals wipe out poverty from hearts,” said Dr D Veerendra Heggade of Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala.

He was addressing a religious meet held to mark the Basrur Mahathobara Mahalingeshwara Temple renovation and Bramakalshostava programme on Friday May 17.

“Culture lies at the base of devotion, dedication, peace, and health. We should accept the social changes through positive thoughts. Society will stand along with us when we cultivate altruistic tendencies. We can achieve progress only if we control the qualities of ‘Dharma’, ‘Artha’, and ‘Kama’. Discipline in business and the right use of money helps an individual understand the essence of religion,” he said.

He also added that when we do any work we should know its vision, knowledge, eligibility, and stature. “God exists where there is mental peace and physical relaxation,” he added.

“In the undivided districts, renovation of Shiva temples is going on. This became helpful through the Rural Development Projects,” said B Annappa Hegde, administrator of the temple. Suresh D Padukone was the chief guest.

On this occasion businessman V K Mohan, M V Bangera, donor, Vinaya Murali, Harish Padiyar and brothers were present on this occasion.

Usha Nisha prayed, B Rajendra presented the introductory speech and welcomed, Dinakar Shetty compered. Narasimha Poojary thanked.

Really great to hear from Sri.Heggade fom Dharmasthala with regard to eradication of poverty. What they are doing to the society is something great and unique.I request more and more wealthy and intelligant people to join hands and form N.G.O's to adopt villages in total for eradication of poverty with a time bound progam.
.The companies with heavy profit can donate to these N.G.O's for their social reform progams.Hope, all of us will join and wipe off the menace of poverty in total.Thanq.

Great Words by Dr Heggade. A Country can be called developed only when its peoples thoughts are developed. Infrastructure, High rise buildings, Luxury Vehicles should be secondary.

Human Poverty can be refereed to Materialistic Worldly matters and Divine Spiritual Matters. If one is RICH materialistically then he may be Poor Spiritually (most of the cases Yes). But if one is Rich Spiritually then he doesn't bother about Materialistic Richness.

    Wipe out...
    Poverty From our Hearts
    Evils From our Minds
    Lethargy From our Legs
    Impurity From our Thoughts
    Venom From our Talks
    Insincerity From our Actions...and
Lo! Do I see God somewhere?
    Yes...I Do and everywhere!
