Gadag: Groom dies within hours of marriage

Gadag, May 21: In a heart-rending incident which occurred at Ramagiri village near Lakshmeshwar in the district on Monday May 20, a groom lost his life soon after tying the nuptial knot.

The marriage of Nagaraj Shivakumar Pujara (32) had been arranged with a girl of the same village on Monday.

After the marriage, the people were going home after participating in the grand feast provided to them, when Nagaraj complained of chest pain.

He was taken to a private hospital in Lakshmeshwar in a motor bike immediately. However, he breathed his last before reaching the hospital, due to massive heart attack.  Nagaraj was a small time contractor by profession.

The scene of grieving family members, bride, and relatives at the sudden death of the youth, turned the atmosphere at the marriage hall that was in a mood of celebration, into gloomy one.

    Why we should say that the girl came as a bad luck. No Not at all. God knows better. Hope the bride will in due course of time shall get her life partner.

    Really its a sad incident. Of course people will talk, girl is unlucky, bad luck. That is human nature , nobody can change their minds. In my point of view, groom family knows that, he is a heart patient & why they let him to marry? To spoil the future of that poor girl????

    Dear Janet, are you healthy ? i wish you should be and always. The thing is godforbidden you never know you may collapse anytime for any internal body organs nonfunctional. fews years back one gulf return a healthy guy got his checkup completely done from morning until evening with his visit to know the reports from the doctor. he had gone with his friends to to manipal-parkala big boss bar.. followed a chest pain , cardiac arrest at midnight and death certificate was issued next day morning added to his existing file. now what do you say? doctor is wrong? and secondly people like you must be definitely thinking that the bride bought bad luck for the groom and so abandon her from the bridegrooms family. if bride dies nobody blames bridegroom . anyways..just wanted to clarify.. tc

    but, there are many superstitious people in soceity, who will blame bride for the incident happend. That is most unfortunate thing. It is very difficult to change mindset of people.

    Sad incident - when time comes one has to go -
    But
    Now the boy's family should not put the blame on the girl (usually they immediately blame the girl for bringing bad luck) and should not treat her badly.
    Family may have known about his heart condition, if so medication should have been kept handy as this particular day would be quite hectic throughout.
    Too late anyway.
    It is better if the bride is allowed to work\ marry later and lead her life in the society without any hinderance.

    So very sad. No time and date for the death. Only God knows. Good day happy day happy time...no time for death...one second is enough. I never heard till now person dying on the marriage day. O God have mercy on the girl. Very sad for her. May God give her and both the family members to bear this loss. May his Soul Rest in peace.
