Mangalore: Florine Roche, 35 others get Talent Research Foundation Awards

Mangalore, May 22: As many as 36 achievers from various fields were honoured in 12 different categories during at the 2013 Talent Milad award ceremony held at Town Hall here on Tuesday May 21.

Among the awardees were Akashvani broadcaster, journalist and daijiworld correspondent Florine Roche, social worker Prof Hilda Rayappan, Dr Honey Cabral and many others.

The Lifetime Achievement Award was conferred on Haji V K Abdul Khader, Karunakar K Ucchil and Dr Olinda Pereira.

The award ceremony organized by Talent Research Foundation was inaugurated by SCDCC bank president Rajendra Kumar.

Speaking on the occasion, he said Talent Research Foundation is doing good work by introducing talented people to the society. "NGOs have to learn a lot from this organization," he added.

Abubakkar Siddique Montugoli, chief secretary of SSF, Adbul Aziz Dharimi, president of Dharimis association were the guests of honor.

On the occasion, health minister U T Khader released ‘Noorondu Seve’ book written by talent advisor Mohammed Rafiq.

The programme was presided over by Talent Research Foundation vice-president Ashraf G Bava. Dr Honey Cabral, principal of Karnataka Theological College, Anwar Sadath, Creative Foundation president, VijayKumar, Yuva Vahini central committee president, Gopal Suvarna, Sulaiman Belvai, Akbar Ali shared the dais.

Abdur Rauf Puttige, founder president welcomed the gathering, vice-president Saiduddin Bajpe compered and chief secretary Hameed Kannur thanked the gathering.


The winners of the Talent Milad Awards 2013 are:

Kalambadi Ustad Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award – Haji VK Abdul Khader, Karunakar K Ucchil and Dr Olinda Pereira.

Manjanadi Ustad Memorial Social Service Award – Abdul Rajiq Ullal, Jayanand, Professor Hilda Rayappan

Crescent Ameer Hussain Memorial Best Journalist Award- K Abdul Hameed Puttur, Prakash Manjeshwar, Florine Roche

U T Fareed Memorial Goodwill Award – Abdul Khader Haji Amchinadka, Dinesh Nayak, Dr Honey Cabral

Ashraf M S Memorial Social Awarness Award – Anwar M S, Sridar Gowda Kokkada, Shirthady William Pinto

Abdul Hakim Maulavi Memorial Arogya Mitra Award – Ilyas Bajpe, Yashoda, Corrine Rasquinha

Asif Kudroli Memorial Sincere Auto Driver Award – Mohammed Sharif, Shekar Devadiga, Monthu Lobo

B Fathima HBT Memorial Self-reliance Award – Raziya, Padmavathi, Benny Gonsalves

Aasiya CH Memorial Chaitanya Award – Dr Mahazabin S Madakar, Harinakshi Kulal, Kumari Sunitha Lobo

Judge Ullal Hammabba Memorial Talent Special Award – Mohammed Swaroop, Rashi Parvathi K, Surayya Aaliya Puttige

Khairkhan Ahmed Haji Memorial Talent Special Award – Swaliha Altaf, Ismail Kolpe, Kumari Sudaratna KS.

Sayed Mohammed Younus Memorial best Enviornmental Activist Award- Moulana Abdul Razak Darmi, Dinesh Nayak M, Daniel Monteiro
