Mangalore: Special bond - Deprived of speech, hearing, they speak the language of love

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (VM)

Mangalore, May 23: True love knows no boundaries, no limits, no conditions. It speaks only one language - that of the heart. It is an indescribable emotion, a blessing bestowed on all living beings, and those who are smitten by it sometimes fight all odds and prove that in the end, it is love that conquers all.

Raju and Ameena are one such truly special couple, and by 'special', we mean doubly special - they are both dumb and deaf, and to top it all, man and wife united by a love marriage that would give any Bollywood flick a run a for its money.

As the story goes, the two fell in love with each other as students of a high school meant for the specially-abled in Gagavati taluk, Koppal. They could neither hear nor speak, but when their eyes met, it was a direct connection with their hearts. Their eyes spoke and expressed what they felt for each other, and over the years, their love bloomed into an unbreakable bond.

Call it disadvantage or advantage, the fact that they could neither speak nor hear ensured that no third person came to know of their relationship, and thereby no one suspected them. The two were happy in their own little world, and when that revolutionary invention called the mobile phone came into their hands during their PU studies, their love got a whole new meaning, as they could now actually share their feelings in words.

But at the same time, they knew that neither their families nor anyone else would accept their union, and that to convince them would be a herculian task with no promise of fruit. The lovebirds hence decided to elope.

In fact, it is only after Ameena's sudden disappearance from home that the entire story unfolded. Her parents lodged a complaint about their missing daughter in Gangavati police station. The police got into action and soon traced the duo to Bangalore. But by then Raju and Ameena had already tied the knot.

The family members of Raju and Ameena tried their best to separate them but in vain, as the couple remained steadfast and refused to sacrifice their love. Finally, the elders of both the families had to bow down to their courage and accept their decision.

Indeed, it is one love story that deserves the line, "And then lived happily ever after."

In this article the Daiji, is totally defending true "Love".

And when Gujarati boy chased his true love different story (sour). Even the readers are sometimes biassed about love.

Brother Bhandarkar, few days back I noticed that your Shayari was criticised ...because of lack of digesting the same in a good sense and now more and more people have picked up your skill of using poetic, rythamtic way of entertaining the readers. cheerup !
