Michigan: ICA hosts Amazing Women event

Media Release

Michigan, May 23: After the smashing success of the Carnival event in February, the India Catholic Association (ICA) in Detroit Metro Area celebrated a most beautiful event or rather a beautiful moment called "The Amazing Women" recently. The event was an evening of grand celebration with about 200 members and friends of ICA gathered together to honour and celebrate the amazing women in their lives. The event will be remembered for a long time as a most beautiful moment in ICA.

The evening started with mass by Fr Suresh Rajaiah in St Alexander’s Church, Farmington Hills, Michigan. The mass had a beautiful choir with wonderful singers, instrumentalists and a piece of original music performed as a tribute to all the amazing women all over the world. The mass was followed by a wonderful dinner party that had dazzling performances by ICA's amazing men and kids and Multimedia presentation of kids performing something special for their Mothers to make this a most enjoyable event.

ICA's well-wisher Fr Ozzie Mascarenhas sent his greetings in a beautiful video message to all the women of ICA which can be viewed here: http://youtu.be/0e4fPORU0kg

The event was a great success due to the excellent organization by the chairpersons of the event Mia and Michael Mathias and Rosita and Rohit Lobo and their creative and energetic team of Neelam and Francis Lobo, Gayathri and Dominic Selvan, Vanita and Kim Coelho, Sharon and Arun Rodrigues, Malavika and Pradeep Mendonza, Irene and Archie D’sa and executive reps Maryna and Cyril Miranda.

Celebrating the success of the event, the president of ICA, Teena Ayyagari said, "It is a timeless honor for ICA to celebrate and honor all the amazing women in our lives. As a mother, spouse, sister, daughter, teacher or professional, woman has always touched our lives and it feels good that we could dedicate an evening for her.

Right from the day we planned this event, we had a best team to work together. Our creative promotions, presentations, performances and great food were due to our talented event committee and attendees. On behalf of ICA, I thank them from my bottom of the heart. We are all glad that it went very well – now we are looking forward for our next event Camp Thumbs Up."
