Mangalore, May 26: ‘Nam Duniya Nam Style’, a Kannada film based on the younger generation by Preetham Gubbi, starring Likith Shetty and Kavya Shetty from Mangalore, is all set to release on June 14, 2013. The film has Milana Nagaraj, Vinayak Joshi, Sonia Gowda and Sunil in the lead roles.

During their recent visit to the city, Daijiworld got an exclusive chance to interview Likith Shetty, Kavya Shetty and Vinayak Joshi, wherein they shared their experiences about the movie and real life.

Likith, Kavya, and Vinayak said the movie is light-hearted, youthful, and romantic, revolving around the story of love and friendship between three childhood friends.

The movie has been shot in various places like Malaysia, Kashmir, Hyderabad, and Bangalore among others.
“All the three actors are given prominence in the movie but it revolves around Likith who is an orphan in the movie,” said Vinayak, who was a former RJ in Bangalore and also a contestant in Big Boss Kannada.

When asked about their shooting experience, they said that it was like a vacation for them as they had good fun after their shoot. They said that the cast had worked passionately and given their best with the full support of director Preetham who has helmed several hit films.

Likith, the chief protagonist in the super hit Tulu movie ‘Oriyardori Asal’ said that after the success of that movie he did not get a proper chance to sign a good movie until this one came along. “I was chosen for the movie by Preetham based on the success of my Tulu movie,” he said.

When asked how important the success of movie is for them, Vinayak said that it was his 17th year in the industry and that he had got a good role after a long time and hence, success is important. “Our success will also inspire other budding actors,” he added.

Apart from their presence on screen, Likith and Vinayak are also involved in charity work. Recently, they attended a function in Puttur to raise funds for Endosulfan victims.

“You need not be a celebrity to do good work. Humanity is important,” they said adding that they had lent their support to 18 persons who needed hearing aids, paid the fees of an engineering student, and conducted blood donation camps.

Vinayak has also planned to participate in a run from Bangalore to Mysore in order to raise funds to buy wheelchairs and artificial legs for the needy.

Vinayak, sharing his experience in Big Boss said that he had learnt various positive aspects. “After I came out of there, I realized that I have fans in lacs and critics in thousands. I have also learnt not to bother about them," he said.

Kavya, actress from the city, has already made a name for herself in various movies. Her Tamil-Telugu bilingual movie ‘Shivani’ is releasing soon in both languages and she is also shooting for an untitled Telugu movie opposite actor Navdeep.

“'Nam Duniya Nam Style' was a wonderful experience mainly because it was a new and fresh team of actors and we had great fun on the sets. Working with director Preetam Gubbi was awesome as he’s very cool and calm on the sets. In the movie, I am playing the role of a girl who lives in Malaysia and meets the others when they visit there. Overall, the whole shoot was like a vacation for us,” said Kavya.

Their message to the people of the city is to watch the movie and support other Kannada movies too. 'If any movie becomes a hit in Mangalore, then it will definitely be liked by people in other parts' is what they believe.
