Seven dead in Pakistan road crash


Islamabad, May 26 (IANS): At least seven people, including five children, were killed and 18 injured when a van carrying them plunged off a bridge, near Abbottabad, in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province early Sunday, police said.

The police said the accident occurred when the van driver dozed off on way to Abbottabad. The vehicle went out of control and fell off a bridge, reported Geo News citing police.

The victims, who included two women, were residents of Abbottabad's Tarhana Malkan village who had gone to Islamabad airport to see off their relatives.
