Bantwal: Hundreds barge into SDPI office, damage property, assault four

Daijiworld Media Network – Bantwal (SP)

Bantwal, May 27: A gang comprising hundreds of people raided the B C Road- Kaikmaba office of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) here on the evening of Sunday May 26. The members of the gang, who beat up four persons, also damaged the bus stand erected by SDPI for the benefit of the general public.

Issac (32) from Kalladka, Azaruddin Fairoze (26), and Jabbar (26) from Bolantoor, as well as Riaz (22) from Shantiangady were admitted into hospitals with injuries. Issac, who suffered serious head injuries, was admitted into a private hospital in Mangalore.

The gang also tore down flex boards and other things found at the office. It is learnt that three members of the raiding gang also got admitted into the hospital. Bantwal police circle inspector, Anil S Kulkarni, with help of a local police contingent, ensured that the situation turned normal.

It is said that the above incident was retaliatory in nature, related to an earlier incident in which a gang of unknown people, who had hired an auto rickshaw owned by a Congress activist named Adam Palla on May 23, had fled after assaulting him near Volavoor. The Bantwal police, who investigated the incident, had interrogated an SDPI activist in this connection.

Luqman, youth Congress general secretary of the local unit, claims that his party had come to know that an incident in which chilli powder was sprayed on some Congress activists four days ago, was the handiwork of SDPI activists. He added that when a SDPI informant was handed over to the police relating to this incident, some SDPI workers had protested, and that the locals had then joined together in driving away these people.

Akbar Ali, SDPI district general secretary, said that the incident had roots in incidents in which SDPI activists were derided by Congress workers. He said SDPI workers are also threatened by Congress workers of harassing them with the support of Congress government.

“Ten activists of SDPI, who had participated in a marriage function today, were mocked at. When they questioned this behaviour, they were assaulted and SDPI office also was targeted. This is politics of vengeance. Success and failure are part of life. I sincerely advice the concerned to shed hate politics,” he commented.

Congress was getting minority vote without any ground work, arrival of SDPI made them work hard, whatever the allegation they may make, but in reality due to the arrival of SDPI minority leaders in congress got some respect, that is what Mr. Poojary predicting one UT will become CM of Karnataka.
Slowly people of India will accept the Ideology of SDPI. Congress is propagating that SDPI is a minority party. I wish SDPI firm on his Ideology reach out to people speak to them, keep struggling.

Your Quote “I tell you what if SDPI can't defeat Aziz Sait's son in Mysore, where majority voters are belonging to your community and what is the worth claiming "WE REPRESENT MINORITY AND DALITHS"? “

In Mysore, majority voters are not only belonging to my community, but also your community & Tanvir Sait’s community too.

With the recent victor of Tanvir Sait, Sait family has been elected from the constituency for tenth time as his grandfather Muhammad Sait and Father Aziz sait had elected from the same constituency earlier. Already the family had ruled the constituency for 30 years.

Tanvir Sait had tough competition with SDPI candidate Abdul Majeed Kodlipete(first time contesting in Assembly election) who won the election with 38,037 votes. Tanveer Sait has elected for fourth consecutive term from this constituency.SDPI bagged 29,667 votes.SDPI’s performance has proved the party’s growing popularity in the region.

Yet no censure from Mr. Ismail for the demolition of Bus stops. I impulse this here because Mr.Ismail used to share his views usually in daiji against moral policing.

    IMRAN KATIPALLA,

Bus stand building is just a primary duty of local bodies. If SDPI has resources and logistics capacities there are other humanitarian related issues with community which I can't mention in public domain. Building Bus sands are strategic political plans and publicity point of view.If group of people attacks certain place or individual, they will not see whether it is a bus stand or eye of an individual.Imran, your community means SDPI....I mean it.

Even though I did not subscribe the attack in my comments so I am also not subscribing SDPI's worker's attack on AUTO RICKSHAW (CONGRESS WORKER)and I did not see your condemnation against the criminal activities of SDPI.What you see as MORAL POLICING in this tit for tat attack?I condemn moral policing all the times by any community or whoever it carries. It is like JUNGLE RAJ.As you said if I against BD for their moral policing, I should be against moral policing of other community also and no doubt in it.

Is this the message you people passing over to other communities. Try to be good human beings and role models with your exemplery taqwa and hard work. You are all answerable to Allah on the day of judgment.

Momin spilling the blood of another momin, momin attacking the dignity of another momin, momin destroying the assets of another momin or destroying the public property is not halaal for you.

So Fear Allah, run towards your lord and do good to the society and fellow human beings.

Hate politics is not at all welcome in the civilized society.

In fact, SDPI mainly targeted Congress Candidate in ULLALA,SURTHKAL,BANTAWLA and PUTTUR.They stooped very low level, created false propaganda particularly against MR UT Khader,Bellipady Babianna and Mrs Shakunthala Shetty. Civilized society not expected such kind of hate and negative politics from them.Fight election for issue not for targeting certain individual or party with fabricated stories. SDPI seniors need to introspect and better lead it's workers in right path.Anyway, raiding PARTY OFFICE of the SDPI not serves the purpose and it will be counter productive.Same BD POLITICS of another community will pave the way for Law and order problem.POLICE NEED TO ACT WITH DETERMINATION.

    Imran Katipalla,

I understand your innocence on Indian perspective. SDPI, certainly needs to rethink it's electoral strategy.Your innocent question about Congress Candidate getting more votes than earlier is indeed food for thought. If some element in the society target Congress or secular parties for reason best known to them but then Majority Community en-mass Voted against SDPI and thwarted the evil plan of SDPI.You can't claim separate party with your 12% Vote share and bear in mind that India is a multi- cultured nation having 80% are majority.

I tell you what if SDPI can't defeat Aziz Sait's son in Mysore, where majority voters are belonging to your community and what is the worth claiming "WE REPRESENT MINORITY AND DALITHS"?

A new product(SDPI) which launched just while ago has wider appeal and curiosity from the voters and finally LAUGH OF DIMINISHING MARGINAL UTILITY WILL APPLY BE APPLICABLE SCIENTIFICALLY.
