Mangalore: Reshma D'Souza set to sizzle in Kannada, Hindi filmdoms

Media Release

Mangalore, May 30: Mangalore, home to the Tulu film industry, is where Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shilpa Shetty and Sunil Shetty, who have created waves in Bollywood and internationally, hail from. Now, another actress from the city, Reshma D'Souza, she all set to make her Sandalwood debut with movie 'Goa' produced by Shankar Reddy.

Reshma is a huge fan of the late Kannada actor Dr Raj Kumar and was inspired by him. She says, “I met Dr Raj Kumar in Bangalore where he said I have the potential to be an actress, and he told me to work in Kannada movies. But as I was shifting my base to Dubai I refused the offer but promised him that if I ever do a movie I would began my career in Sandalwood. He is the one who inspired me to get in the movies and I dedicate my Kannada and Bollywood film to him.”

It seems that she has hit a jackpot as far as her career is concerned. She has also been signed for the multi-starrer Bollywood movie 'The City That Never Sleeps' which stars Hollywood star Jeremy William, Veena Malik, Nataliya Kozhenova, Bhairavi Goswami, Jonita Doda, Devshi Khanduri, Murli Sharma and many more. The film is being directed by Haroon Rashid and produced by Satish Reddy.

Reshma D'Souza says, “I feel blessed that I got a chance to work with some of the good directors of our industry. It will be a pleasure to be in a movie where I am going to rub shoulders with Hollywood hunk Jeremy Marr William and renowned Bollywood actors.”

Kannada movie 'Goa' is a remake of blockbuster Tamil film of the same name, starring Jai, Vaibhav, Premji Amaran, Sneha and Piaa Bajpai.

    I agree with Roshan Brangaza.

But I feel Alan Aloysius seriously need councelling. please note that whatever is glittering is not Gold and same like film industry. People only know the shining part which is a small percentage and the huge percentage behind the scene they never know.

Why judge others without knowing the facts? Live your life as you want and let others live theirs without causing trouble to others. Not all fingers are the same. Just because some have spoiled their name, it does not mean all will follow suit and do the same. If you cannot rejoice in someones success, don't criticize as well. You are talking of the community in general. No one really cares for others in today's hypocrite world. We all are good at pointing fingers when we have no right to do so in first place. All the best to Reshma!

I fully agree with Alan Aloysius, people do not realize that times have changed and any career should be appreciated. Whether she shines or declines is her destiny, all we can do is atleast wish all the best You dont loose anything by wishing someone good luck. Our friends would enjoy watching a movie but when it comes to passing any remarks they do not hesitate. All the best Reshma, I am sure you will do well.

Some people (or most) are at loss of words when you ask for some serious career advice. But when someone has achieved some success in a hard way they are quick to write it off. Please yaar, don’t scare her of this profession. First of all, particularly in this show bizz, all you need is luck and not even talent. She looks not only beautiful but also very bold. Hope she will make it big. Wish you luck, Reshma. Take care.

If you get the right person at right time and right place, anything is possible. Don’t worry, keep moving. Luck will be on your side.

For starters she should have a good 'Dress Designer'....(One of her dress resembles something from 'Pinky Fashions' where you buy one and get one free)and Roshan Braganza hmmmm
it's up to one to 'get lost' or 'find himself/herself' in any field! But agreed this filmdom is quagmire or quicksand in which one can easily be 'trapped/caught'and reach a point of no return...!
    All the best anyways 'Reshma'

She has moderate looks but what about acting skils.

Bollywood is already flooded with actresses (charming & tallented). The competion is going to be very tough. survival of the fittest.

Let her face the challenges and prove.

All the best in your filmy career.

So do I agree with both of your views..........if you ever know what movie industry is all about you would not allow your daughters to venture into it.......and as for Mr. Allan , if you had a daughter would you push her into the movie industry knowing that she is moving towards her disaster.

There may be a few success stories but the huge number of disasters that aspiring girls undergo is not known to the general public....do you know that even the famous Kapoor family was against daughters going into the movie industry......Times have changed no doubt about it but time is not so bad that we loose our dignity for money and treat money as everything.

Film field must be ignored .... if one has peaked inside real film making, no sane person would encourage this field. Film field is nexus between crime, sex, and money. Many films make youth to astray, and spoil life/careers. recent movies use bad language, worst songs, and ofcourse portray in negative spirit. There are some good movies too which I can say are exceptions to this rule.
