This all is happenning due to the unscientific methods of construction followed in mangalore. the More you use JCB's to flatten lands where there are old houses this is bound to happen. Nature has to be respected. if you go flattenning the hills and valleys, water problems will start

While such incidents are nothing new during monsoons, it clearly shows the inability of the Corporation to fully gear up for the monsoon.
Daijiworld please send some more pictures of rains in Mangalore.

What a scene ? I felt cold feeted to watch this type of calamity.

    Thank God no human loss.

We would not know the next moment in our lives. The owner has to offer special prayers to Almighty.

The owner has to ensure that new retaining wall will be strong enough to withstand land slides due to the heavy rains.

Bollu, now please dont tell this happened because of congress!!! Are you trying to fill Rakesh Shetty's shoes?? Rain is by Almighty's wish not because BJP or congress is in power. FYI & general knowledge its not oval boat... its called coracles in english & Teppa in Kannada. Also, it is round not oval :P
