Congress pokes fun at BJP on PM candidate issue

New Delhi, Jun 2 (PTI): Congress today poked fun at BJP saying there was a "civil war" in the Opposition party over the issue of its prime ministerial candidate after L K Advani showered lavish praise on Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan vis-a-vis Narendra Modi.

"BJP story by Advani ji. Chauhan ji verus Modi versus Rajnath ji versus Sushma ji versus Jaitley ji versus Gadkari ji. RSS versus BJP ji-Civil War in Pariwar ji," Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari tweeted today.

His comments came a day after Advani appeared to pay left-handed compliments to Narendra Modi when he said that while Modi had made a "healthy" Gujarat into an "excellent" state, Chouhan turned around Madhya Pradesh, once called a BIMARU state.

"Atal Bihari Vajpayee implemented several developmental schemes including road network but he always remained very humble and far away from arrogance. Similarly, Chouhan has also formulated a large number of development and welfare schemes like Ladli Laxmi scheme and Mukya Mantri Teerth Darshan Yojna and implemented them successfully. Despite so many achievements, Chouhan never had any ego. I found Chouhan very humble, like Vajpayee," Advani had told BJP's booth-level coordinators here yesterday.

He said Gujarat was already a "healthy" state and Modi transformed it into an "excellent" state but what Chouhan and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh did was successfully turning around BIMARU states into developed ones.

"I tell Narendrabhai Modi that Gujarat was healthy earlier also. You have made it excellent and you deserve congratulations for that. But what Chouhan and his Chhattisgarh Chief Minister did was wonderful," Advani had said. PTI AMR SMI 06021727

Commenting on Advani's remarks, Congress spokesperson Shakeel Ahmed tweeted: "People say, by rating Chouhan above Modi, L K Advani is looking for a safe seat in MP, but I think he will contest from a seat in Bihar."

Ahmed is a senior party leader from Bihar and has been maintaining that the perceived differences between BJP and JD-U over Narenrda Modi's projection was a deliberate strategy to push Advani in the front seat at a time there appeared to be a race for the Prime Ministerial candidate within the BJP ahead of the next Lok Sabha elections. He had said in past that Nitish Kumar and Advani have an understanding.

But Dinesh you said..matured people of India want Modi as PM. But Advani and Nitish Kumar are hurdles on Modi's ambitions of becoming PM. That is the reason I told Advani and Nitish Kumar are not matured. I know that I am not matured and I don't mind that. But sometimes immatured people also oversmart the matured one's. Why Jaitley cannot become PM of India? Why not Sushma Swaraj? Why not Yeshwant Sinha? These people are matured in Central level and they are the right contenders for PM post. Modi is fit only for state politics.

Your ambitions will become true. Sushma, Jaitly, Singh etc all will become PM in future. But next year it is either Modi or Advani. In a democratic country everyone is free to express their opinion. But in family ruled congress no such environment, they can only blame BJP.

In India, when we offer PM or CM post for anybody any Political Party will join hands together to make a government. There are many aspirants for PM posts this time, viz. Mulla, Lallu, Nitish, Sushma, Jaitly, Rajnath, Jaya, Modi, etc, etc. Because NDA has many capable leaders who can become PM once they win the Lok Sabha Election in Year-2014. Where as in Congress, only qualification they need is to say “Yes Madam”. Entire World makes fun of our PM “Maun Singh” where as foul mouthed Manishji makes fun of BJP. When their days in power is counted now, then they left with only one choice to make fun of others

You too have the freedom to say what you want.
In my thinking, these political parties are formed by various people coming together from various States of India as such a Central committee (It is called the High Command in Indian Politics) is required to make decisions\to maintain discipline\to choose candidates for election etc etc.
It is very necessary the HC control everything properly for the Party to function normally\in a disciplined way.
The difference as you mentioned - Congress Party is well disciplined and the HC is strict with the Party's principals. The orders must come from the HC after they receive feed back from various sources. They are the decision makers.
It was like that in earlier BJP Party too. But for sometime now the HC in BJP is weak and partymen are unruly, trying to over rule HC directives and impose their will on the HC. It has created rift between higher cadres especially those vying for PM post.`
The result you are watching everyday how the party is falling apart (e.g. Karnataka and at the HC too where each one is announcing their own views as correct.
We choose\elect our Governors and we are bound to abide by the decisions they make as per the rules and conditions laid in the constitution of that Party.
Actually you should praise congress partymen and the HC for following to the letter the rules laid down in their party constitution.

Not like Dictator's party Congress. Not a single Congress politician have the guts or the freedom to talk freely. For each & every thing required permission from High command. What a shame. Is India an Independent country??? Looks like a even though Congressman want to go for honeymoon, he will tell I have to consult High command !!.

We don't need Congress or BJP ruling, we want a person like Anna Hazare to rule India. Even AAM AADMI party will better than the existing corrupt blood succers political parties.
