Kuwait, January 6: In the annual general body meeting held at the Indian English Academy School (Don Bosco`s), Salmiya Kuwait on 6th January 2006 election of the Managing Committee members for the year 2006 was held. The Managing Committee of the Tulu Koota Kuwait is elected every year by the General Body. The Managing Committee consists of President, Vice-President, Gen. Secretary, Joint Secretary, Treasurer, Internal Auditor, Cultural Secretary, Sports Secretary, Public Relation Officer and Welfare Officer.


Chandrahasa, Helen and Tharendra

Program started with a welcome song by Sashiprabha Aital followed by the lighting of the lamp by the Management Committee members. The outgoing President Elias Scantis who had served Tulu Koota for 2 years in succession gave a small speech. 

Savishchandra Bannanje read out the report for the year 2005 and Treasurer Shankar Shetty briefed on the Financials report. Sachindananda Suvarna took over as the Election commissioner and introduced the new members who were then elected as follows.  Tharendra Shettigar proposed the vote of thanks and the program compered by Suresh Salian came to an end with delicious lunch from M & M confectionary. A few songs & dances were performed by the members and their children to keep the members entertained.
