in the region. All we need this time is a leader with some vision and we can see some development. as far as one time payouts are concerned, as long they land in correct hands some dev should happen

    Mr.Cyril Mascarenhas,

Do not bring names such as Mr.Lobo, Mr.Colaco in this issue, they are people for all communities. We need leaders who belong to all communities. Every community/caste/creed can seek separate corporation or separate funds for their welfare. I think this trend is dangerous. We Indians will never come out of this narrow minded approach. It is better to demand in view of economic, educational backwardness. Speak in terms of creation of opportunities, empowering people individually. Giving best childhood, best of healthcare, best insurance schemes for the weak. Talk should be concentrated on utilizing natural resources equally and justly. But sadly most of resources under control of very few affluent people who control everything.

Why are we the people of Karnataka and India having such a mentality in having division in the name of religion. Are we all not having equal rights and responsibilities as per the constitution? Why then we need these sorts of demands for certain group of people?

In my opinion many of the Christian institutions are very rich. If they themselves contribute even 10% what they collect from their different resources, then they can fulfill the above demand of Christian community. Let this demanded funds go for the poor people of all communities irrespective of any religion and caste.

It is indeed a great move to approach The Government and ask for a fund of R.2,00,00,000/- for development of The Christian community which is a minority like other segments.

Despite the adverse comments from certain people, it is a fair and legitimate demand. Hope this request is met.

Congrats to Ivan D'Souza and all concerned for the move.

As a Christian I fully endorse the need for helping the less privileged in our community.

Helping Dalits, Muslims, Christians based on their religion is not the right thing in a democracy like India.

We must come out of caste based politics, social practices, financial aid etc., and the govt. must reach out to the needy irrespective of their religion on an impartial manner.

We must also stop classifying people based on their religion and faith, and all govt. documents etc. must stop using the column for writing ones caste and creed for all legal works etc.

Yes, Siddu has the obligations to help and compensate the Christians who have been persecuted by the BJP during the last 5 years, a fact no one can deny.

Mr. John D'Souza has rightly said, "Ours is a giving (not demanding or receiving) community"
No one can be a Slave of two masters, he will Hate one and Love the other. He will be Loyal to one & Despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money......
If we are really Love the poor & the Needy & are concerned about them ..... then there is enough wealth among us to contribute and help.

    Dear Ministers
Try to develop the state by opening new opportunities for the youth where in automatically the state will develop resulting in developing the country. Mainly the infrastructure should be developed and new generation should be encouraged. At present the richer are getting still richer and there is no hope for fresh incumbants. Pls take a note of this. Again by developing one community the state wont develop. All may be it hindus, christians, muslims or any other religion, we all are equal and neighbours. Be in peace and united for the development.

Lots of groups/communities with varied ideologies exist among Christians. How will a separate corporation function and how wil money utilized is a herculean task. There is no unity among Christians. Diversity among Christians is always positive, but it is respect for each other n being tolerant is the big challenge. It wil be total CHAOS to manage various groups and manage money.

By the way, Ivan is back to cameras posing as saviour of christian community. I think people should be smart enough to sniff his ambitions and keep him away for the benefit of chritians. I dont oppose him as a person, but I oppose him as a leader. He is not fit to be a mass leader.
